Integrate Wufoo with Omnisend

Written by Armintas Griežė

Wufoo is an online form builder that lets users create custom forms, surveys, event registrations, and more. It provides tools for embedding forms, using webhooks, and accessing data via a RESTful API. Integrating Wufoo with Omnisend enables collecting form data as contacts and automating workflows when someone submits a Wufoo form.

Key Benefits

  • Automatically capture new contacts from form submissions, reducing manual data entry.

  • Use form field data (e.g., name, email, custom fields) to enrich contact profiles in Omnisend.

  • Trigger Omnisend automations (e.g., welcome series, follow‑ups, segmentation) based on form responses.

  • Real‑time syncing (via webhooks) ensures prompt action on new data.

  • Embed Wufoo forms on site or landing pages while maintaining integration with Omnisend workflows.

Setup Process

Step 1. In Omnisend, go to Apps → Search for Wufoo → Click Connect now. You'll see the Contact Synchronization integration feature. Omnisend generates a unique webhook URL. Copy it – you'll need it in the next step.

Step 2. In Wufoo, open the form you want to connect. Click the (More) button on the form → Select Integrations.

Step 3. Under Other applications, click on Webhook.

Step 4. In the Webhook form:

  1. Paste the Omnisend webhook URL into the Your Webhook URL field.

  2. Make sure Include Field and Form Structures with Entry Data is checked.

  3. Click Save.

Repeat Steps 2–4 for each Wufoo form you want to connect to Omnisend. Each form would have the same webhook URL.

And that's it! When a visitor submits the form, their data will sync to Omnisend automatically.

FAQ

Is an email address required for contacts to sync?

Yes – email address is the primary identifier Omnisend uses to create or update a contact. If a form submission doesn't include an email address, the contact won't sync, and no data will be passed to Omnisend. Make sure your Wufoo form includes an email field.

Can I sync historical form submissions?

No – the integration only syncs submissions made after the webhook is saved. Past form entries won't be imported to Omnisend.

Why didn't a contact sync after a form submission? Check the following:

  1. The form includes an email address field, and the respondent filled it in.

  2. The correct Omnisend webhook URL is saved in the form's Webhook settings.

  3. The "Include Field and Form Structures with Entry Data" option is checked in the Webhook form.

  4. Try reinstalling an application.
