Collect survey responses and automatically sync them to your Omnisend contacts. When someone completes a Survicate survey, Omnisend creates or updates their contact profile and logs every question and answer as an event - so you can use survey data to segment contacts and trigger automations.
Before You Begin
You need a Survicate account on a plan that includes Webhooks.
You need at least one published survey in Survicate that you want to sync.
How It Works
When a contact completes a Survicate survey:
Omnisend creates a new contact or updates an existing one, matched by email address.
A Survicate – Survey Completed event is logged on that contact's profile, containing each question and the response given.
The contact's email channel is set to non-subscribed status. Completing a survey does not count as opting into marketing emails — that remains a separate decision you make.
Setup Process
Step 1: Connect Survicate in Omnisend
Follow the steps below to connect Survicate with Omnisend:
Go to App Market and find the Survicate integration.
Click Connect.
In the Webhook Signing Secret field, enter the signing secret from your Survicate account.
To find it in Survicate, go to Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → Settings tab and copy the value shown there.
Click Connect.
Omnisend generates a Webhook URL and shows a Copy button. Copy this URL; you'll need it in Step 2.
Confirm that the Survicate: Survey Completed automation shows a Started status.
💡 The Webhook Signing Secret is how Omnisend verifies that incoming data really came from Survicate. If the value doesn't match exactly, events will be silently rejected. This is expected security behavior, not a bug.
Step 2: Enable Webhooks in Survicate
This step happens inside Survicate and must be repeated for each survey you want to sync. There is no option to connect all surveys at once.
Open the survey you want to sync in Survicate.
Go to its Connect tab and select Webhooks.
Toggle on Send notifications on survey completion.
Paste the Webhook URL from Step 1 into the Endpoint URL field.
Click Send Sample Request to test the connection. Survicate will confirm whether the test event was received.
Repeat steps 1–5 for every additional survey you want to sync.
Step 3: Verify The Integration
After completing a real survey (or sending a sample request), check Omnisend:
Go to Audience → Contacts and search for the email address used in the test.
Open the contact profile and check the Activity timeline.
A Survicate – Survey Completed event should appear. Click into it to see the full list of questions and answers.
Troubleshooting
No event appears in Omnisend after a survey is completed
Check that the Webhook URL is pasted into the correct survey's settings in Survicate — not a different survey.
Confirm that Send notifications on survey completion is toggled on for that survey.
Check that the Survicate: Survey Completed automation in Omnisend shows Started, not paused or stopped.
The webhook fires in Survicate, but the contact doesn't appear in Omnisend
The Webhook Signing Secret entered during setup may not match the one currently in Survicate. Go to Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → Settings in Survicate and compare the value with what was entered during connection.
If you've ever clicked Regenerate on the Signing Secret in Survicate, you need to reconnect the integration in Omnisend using the new value.
Only some surveys are syncing
Each survey requires its own webhook setup (Step 2). Check whether the Webhook URL was actually added to the settings of the surveys that aren't syncing.
