Integrate Make with Omnisend

Learn how to integrate Omnisend with Make

Make is an automation platform that lets you connect Omnisend with 1000+ apps and automate workflows without code. Sync contacts from Google Sheets, trigger automations when Trello cards move, or update customer data from external CRMs – all running 24/7.

Note: Make is the same app that was previously known as Integromat.

Benefits

Connect Omnisend with 1000+ apps from the Make integrations directory and automate repetitive tasks:

  • Sync contacts from Google Sheets, Typeform, or other lead sources.

  • Trigger custom events in Omnisend when actions happen in external apps (e.g., Trello card moved, Slack message posted).

  • Update contact properties from CRMs or spreadsheets.

  • Create, search, or update contacts via Make's Omnisend module.

  • Make custom API calls – for advanced workflows, see our API docs.

Setup Process

Step 1: Generate an API Key in Omnisend

Go to the Omnisend App Market and search for Make, or open the Make integration page directly.

Click Connect now.

An API key will be generated automatically. Copy it and keep this page open – you'll return to it in Step 5.

Step 2: Create a Scenario in Make

Open Make in a new tab and create a new scenario.

Step 3: Add the Omnisend Module

Search for Omnisend and click on it.

Step 4: Select an Action and Connect

Choose the action you want (e.g., Create a Contact, Trigger a Custom Event).

Click Create connection, name your connection, and paste the API key you copied from Omnisend. Click Save.

Step 5: Confirm the Integration in Omnisend

Return to the Omnisend App Market page (the one you kept open), check the box to confirm all steps completed, and click Confirm.

That's it! You're ready to build automations in Make and sync data to Omnisend.

FAQ

How do I create a custom event in Make to trigger an Omnisend automation?

  1. In Make, add an Omnisend module and select "Create a Custom Event" (not "Trigger").

  2. Fill in the Event ID field with your event name (e.g., review_submitted).

  3. Add contact details (email or phone).

  4. Run the scenario at least once.

  5. In Omnisend, go to Automations Create workflow Create from scratch and select your event as the trigger.

Note: The event must be fired once before it appears in Omnisend's trigger list.

Can I delete contacts using Make?
No. Make's Omnisend module does not support deleting contacts. You can only:

  • Create a contact;

  • Search contacts;

  • Update a contact;

  • Get a contact.

Since Make is a tool that offers a lot of different integrations, we highly encourage you to check out their Knowledge base or contact their Support team, if you're not sure how to build the automation you're interested in.
