Setup Process
Step 1. In Omnisend, go to Apps → search for Gatsby, or you can simply open this page.
Step 2. Once you're on the Gatsby integration page, click Connect now.
Step 3. Click Copy API Key.
Don't click the Confirm button and don't close the page yet.
Step 4. Go to your Gatsby account → Integrations → Find Omnisend and click Connect → insert the Omnisend API key.
You can also apply tags that you want to be passed to Omnisend along with contacts. Then click Integrate.
Step 5. Go back to the Gatsby page in the Omnisend Apps → check the box "I have completed all the steps" → click Confirm.
What Data Is Synced to Omnisend?
Gatsby will pass your customers' Instagram data:
Instagram_Bio_Gatsby - customer's biography (account description).
Instagram_Followers_Gatsby - number of followers
Instagram_Follows_Gatsby - number of accounts the customer follows
Instagram_Handle_Gatsby - Instagram profile name
Instagram_Posts_Gatsby - number of posts in the customer's Instagram account
Note: Contacts collected before the integration will not be synced. Only contacts collected after the integration sync.
What Custom Events Are Passed?
The integration passed the event: Mentioned You Event. This event will be triggered for the email address associated with a particular Instagram account when they mention your company's Instagram in a post, either by tagging your brand in the picture or @mentioning your brand in the caption.

Trigger Welcome Emails for Gatsby Customers
To send automated emails once a customer from Gatsby is passed, you need to create a segment based on one of the properties that Gatsby passes along with the email address. In your segment, use the following filter:
Instagrams_Followers_Gatsby exists
Then, create an automation based on the 'Entered segment' trigger and select the Gatsby segment that you created.

Use Cases
Send different emails to customers with different amounts of Instagram followers. For example, you can create a segment of the contacts that have more than 1000 followers, but less than 10000, and send them an email campaign with a discount offer if they mention you on their next Instagram post.
Once they mention you on Instagram, the "Mentioned You Event" will be triggered, and an email from the workflow will be sent.

No, the Mentioned You Event will be triggered by mentions in captions in posts or tags in posts.
Will contacts collected before the integration was enabled be synced to Omnisend?
