The more channels you use to contact your clients, the better engagement with them you will get. This is why Omnisend gives you the chance to enable Push Notifications on your store to reach your customers with targeted notifications.
Before you start
- Push notifications is available for integrations with the following platforms: Shopify, API
- Only Trial and Pro plan user will be able to enable them
- Your website must have SSL certificate (HTTPS) to connect Push Notifications.
- Push notifications are available for the following browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera
Important! Push Notifications channel works ONLY if a contact is identified in a website (they are already your subscribers)
Connect Push Notifications with Omnisend
The first thing you will need to do is Connect the App for Push Notifications. This option is available on My Account drop down list - Connected Apps
or by Going to My Account and selecting Connected Apps:
If you have a Shopify store connected with Omnisend, the process is just 2 steps - Connect and Success:
If you have an API store connected, you will need to take an extra step, and download a file to add it to your store:
Success message will look the same for all Platforms.
If your store does not have HTTPS certificate, you will get the following error message:
Add the certificates and try to connect again.
Push Notifications for Campaigns
Under Campaigns Tab you will see the option for Push Notifications:
Select it and get the Editor, which will contain 3 steps to configure the Notification: Content - Recipients - Send
Here you will be able to set the text you want your contacts to see and how it will look for different OS.
Here you will be able to select to whom you want to show the notifications - All Subscribers or a specific List/Segment
Here you will see how many contacts will get the notification in their Browser. Remember - only identified contacts will see them.
Push Notifications for Automation
This will not be a separate Workflow but an additional Step within your available Workflows:
Once added to your flow, you will see the Editor for Content:
There is no option to select the Recipients as they will be automatically selected based on the contacts that have received the Automated emails containing the Push Notification Step.
