Campaign Booster is a feature that gives you a second chance to approach your customers and grab their attention if they skipped the campaign for the first time. Your boosted campaign will be sent only to those customers who have not opened the initial campaign and are most likely to make a purchase. It will increase your open and click rates as well as sales up to 30%.
About Campaign Booster
Campaign Booster is scheduled and sent automatically. Once it is enabled, it is scheduled to go out 48 hours after the initial campaign. It contains the same content as the original campaign which saves you time in the setup process.
To assure that your subscribers are not getting too many emails from you, Campaign Booster is only sent to those who did not open an initial campaign and are most likely to make a purchase. We calculate that from your historical data to be sure you're getting the best results. The more you use Omnisend, the better your Campaign Booster becomes.
Enabling Campaign Booster
There are a couple of ways you can boost your campaign:
- Enable a Campaign Booster in the first step of the new campaign creation. Just click on I want to boost my campaign after filling in the subject line and enter the subject line for it.
- If you are not sure, whether it’s worth to boost the campaign in advance or not, don’t worry. The Campaign Booster button will appear next to the campaign report immediately after its launch. Click on the button, enter the subject line and boost.
You can boost your campaign once and no later than 46 hours after the initial sending. It doesn’t matter either you do it while creating a campaign or a day after, Omnisend sends it to the non-openers 48 hours after the initial sending.
TIP: If you wish to send a repeated campaign in a different time-frame, you can create a subscriber segment with email activity "not opened campaign", copy the campaign you want to resend and send it only to the segment you created.
Please note that the Booster is only available for the campaigns sent to more than 100 recipients.
We suggest using a completely different campaign name for the boosted version. This way both campaigns will appear as two different ones in your subscribers' inboxes.
If you decided that the boosted version should not be sent, you can always cancel it from your Campaigns list before it is sent.
The right timing
We have set the 48 hours time limit for the Campaign Booster because of a good previous practice. Within this time gap it becomes clear who has noticed your email and opened it and who of the subscribers have missed it forever.
This technique is often called remailing, but we call it Campaign Booster. Omnisend takes care of everything for you - you just have to enter the extra subject line if you want to boost.
Campaign Booster reports
Campaign Booster reports can be found on the Reports tab, next to the rest email campaigns. To separate from regular campaigns, we add Booster of: in the beginning of the campaign name, which is only seen to you and not your subscribers.
All the statistics for a boosted campaign are separate from the original one.
Editing and cancelling a boosted campaign
After you enable a Campaign Booster for your initial campaign, Omnisend automatically creates another scheduled campaign (with different subject line) in Scheduled emails tab. This campaign name will start with "Booster of:".
If you want to cancel a scheduled email (using Booster), go to Scheduled emails, and select to cancel from the dropdown on the right. This way Campaign Booster's scheduled email will be restored as a draft.
A Booster campaign cannot be edited once scheduled. If you restore it to Drafts to be edited it will lose the Booster status and it will be sent to ALL your subscribers instead of just the non-openers. Be careful! Once restored to drafts it is not possible to recover it as Booster.
Campaign Booster is available for Shopify, BigCommerce, and API v3 integrations. Campaign booster is available on Trial, Standard and Pro pricing plans.
