Learn what tracking cookies Omnisend uses and how to remove them if needed

Omnisend uses several tracking cookies to enable various automated features and segmentation. This article explains which cookies are set by Omnisend to your end user's browser and how they can be later on removed if necessary.

The specific types of first and third-party cookies served through Omnisend, and the purposes they perform are described in further detail below.

Cookies set by store's domain

Name: omnisendAnonymousID
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify an anonymous contact.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Name: omnisendSessionID
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify a session of an anonymous contact or a contact.
Expires: After 30 minutes of inactivity.

Name: omnisendAttributionID
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify a message of any channel which was clicked by a contact.
Expires: 30 days.

Name: omnisendContactID
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify a contact.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Name: omnisendDebugConsole

Purpose: This cookie is used to identify whether the debug console used by developers is in use.
Expires: 30 days.

Name: omnisendCartProducts
Purpose: This cookie is used to monitor content of a cart in a session.
Expires: When the session ends.

Name: omnisend-form-<form identifier>-closed-at
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify which form was closed.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Name: omnisend-form-<form identifier>-filled-at
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify which form was filled.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Name: omnisend-form-<form identifier>-teaser-closed-at
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify which form teaser was closed.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Name: soundest-product-picker
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify whether the Product Picker is in use.
Expires: When the session ends.

Name: page-views
Purpose: This cookie is used to count number of pageview in a session.
Expires: When the session ends.

Name: soundestID
Purpose: This cookie is used to identify an anonymous contact.
Expires: When the session ends.

Purpose: This cookie is used to identify which form was filled.
Expires: 365 days after it was created or updated.

Removing cookies from the browser

Depending on the browser your customer uses there might be different ways of how to properly remove Omnisend cookies. Below we explain how that can be achieved on all major internet browsers.

Once your customer removes these cookies, we can no longer track them.
