Integrate Influence.io with Omnisend

Influence.io is a loyalty and referral marketing platform that helps you reward customers with points, tiers, and referral incentives. Connect it to Omnisend to trigger email and SMS workflows in real time when customers earn points, redeem rewards, change tiers, or complete referrals – perfect for building engagement and encouraging repeat purchases.


Before You Begin

  • You need an active Influence.io account with your loyalty or referral program configured with the Plus plan.

  • The integration is available on all Omnisend plans.

Setup Process

Step 1. Go to App Market in Omnisend and find Influence.io app and click on Connect Now button.

Step 2. Once connected, you'll see a list of automations you want to use (custom events are explained in this section:

  • Tier Changed;

  • Customers Update (doesn't trigger a custom event, but syncs customers' updates to Omnisend);

  • Referral Completed;

  • Referral Started;

  • Points Redeemed;

  • Points Earned.

You can select which automations you want to use and update settings.

Step 3. Under each automation, you'll see the webhook URL. This URL is required for us to receive information about the upcoming event. Access Influence.io webhooks settings here.

Step 4. Copy the webhook URL for the automation you'd like to use, then create a new webhook in the automation. Select the corresponding topic of the chosen automation, paste the webhook's URL, and click on the Create button (do this step for each selected automation).

And that's it! Once you update settings in Omnisend for selected automations, all relevant updates will be triggered as custom events in Omnisend!

Influence.io – Referral Started

Triggered when a customer refers a friend and the friend submits their email address.

Influence.io – Referral Completed

Triggered when the referred friend completes an order using the referral discount code.

FAQ

Are events sent in real time?
Yes – we use webhooks for this integration, so events trigger workflows instantly when customer actions occur.

Can I track historical loyalty activity?
No, the integration only syncs events that occur after you connect Influence.io. Past actions won't trigger events.

What happens if a customer's email changes in Influence.io?
The event uses the updated email address. If the contact doesn't exist in Omnisend, a new profile is created, and events and custom properties will not be passed from the old email to the new one.
