Shopper Approved is a customer review and ratings platform that helps you collect and display verified product and seller reviews.

Connect it to Omnisend to automatically sync new reviews and trigger email or SMS workflows when customers leave feedback – perfect for thank-you messages, addressing negative reviews, encouraging repeat purchases, and building social proof.


How It Works

When you connect Shopper Approved to Omnisend:

  1. A customer submits a review on Shopper Approved.

  2. Every 15 minutes, Omnisend checks Shopper Approved for new reviews via API polling.

  3. For each new review, Omnisend triggers a custom event called "Shopper Approved – Review Submitted" for the relevant contact.

  4. You create Automation Workflows triggered by this event to send follow-up messages.

💡 Example: A customer submits a 5-star product review at 2:05 PM. At 2:15 PM (next sync cycle), Omnisend detects the review and logs "Shopper Approved – Review Submitted" for that contact. Your workflow sends a thank-you email 10 minutes later: "Thanks for your 5-star review! Share your experience on social media and get 10% off your next order."

Setup Process

Step 1. Go to the App Market in Omnisend, find the Shopper Approved app, and click the Connect Now button.

Step 2. You'll need to enter Shopper Approved Site Id and API Token. To find these credentials, open the API settings in your Shopper Approved settings, then copy and paste them into the fields in Omnisend.

Step 3. Once entered, proceed to the next page. Select the Get Reviews automation, then update the settings.

And that's it! Once you update settings in Omnisend for selected automation, all relevant updates will be triggered as custom events in Omnisend!

Why does it take 15 minutes for reviews to appear in Omnisend?
Our built-in integration uses polling – Omnisend checks for new reviews every 15 minutes instead of receiving instant notifications.

What if a customer updates their review?
Updates won't trigger a new event. Only new reviews create the "Shopper Approved – Review Submitted" event.

Can I change the sync frequency to 5 minutes or real-time?
No – the sync frequency is fixed at 15 minutes.
