EmailBridge is a Figma plugin that turns an email designed in Figma into an editable email in your email platform. It slices the design, optimizes and uploads the images, and sets the links and alt text for you.
With the Omnisend integration, you can build a finished Figma design straight into Omnisend as a saved template, a campaign draft, an automation draft, or an SMS campaign draft, so you don't have to rebuild it by hand in the email builder.
Benefits
Skip the manual rebuild: turn a finished Figma design into an editable Omnisend email in about a minute.
Images handled for you: slices are optimized and uploaded to your Omnisend image library, with links and alt text already set.
More than templates: create campaign drafts, automation emails, and SMS campaign drafts from the same plugin.
Built for agencies: connect several Omnisend brands to one EmailBridge account and pick the brand in Figma before each build.
How It Works
You connect Omnisend from the EmailBridge dashboard with Connect with Omnisend, so there's no API key to create or paste. The integration is one-way: EmailBridge creates content in Omnisend and reads only what it needs to build it, such as your brand details and product catalog. It doesn't read or change your contacts, segments, or subscribers, and it can't send anything.
Everything EmailBridge creates arrives in Omnisend as a saved template or a draft, so you can review and edit it in the Omnisend builder before you schedule or send it.
Before You Begin
The Omnisend connection is available on EmailBridge's paid plans (Starter, Team, and Agency).
Campaign drafts are available from Starter, and automation drafts from Team. You'll also need the EmailBridge plugin installed in Figma.
Setup Process
Step 1. In EmailBridge, go to Brands and click Connect with Omnisend.
Step 2. Sign in to Omnisend if prompted. Check that the right store is shown (click Switch store if not), review the permissions EmailBridge asks for, and click Authorize access.
Step 3. Back in EmailBridge, check that the brand card says Connected with Omnisend. The brand name fills in automatically.
Step 4. Click the edit icon on the brand card to set what your builds copy, then click
Save changes:
Footer (optional): the name of a saved Omnisend email to use as the footer of every build.
Base campaign: the ID of an Omnisend email campaign that campaign drafts are copied from. You'll find the ID in the campaign's address bar, after /campaigns/edit/.
SMS base campaign: the ID of an Omnisend SMS campaign that SMS drafts are copied from.
Step 5. In Figma, open Plugins → EmailBridge and click Sign in. In the browser tab that opens, check that the code matches the one in the plugin and click Connect the plugin.
And that's it! To connect another brand, repeat steps 1–3.
Build an Email from Figma
Step 1. In Figma, mark each part of your email with the Slice tool (EmailBridge reads slices only, not frames or groups). Slices placed side by side become columns, up to four across.
Step 2. Select the frame that holds your slices and open the EmailBridge plugin. In the account menu at the top, pick your Omnisend brand (shown as OS · <brand name>).
Step 3. Review the checklist: each slice shows a thumbnail, its link, and its alt text, all editable. Images without a link are filled from your store or your Omnisend product catalog.
Step 4. Choose what to create and click the button at the bottom of the plugin:
Template tab → Create Omnisend template.
Campaign tab → enter the Subject and Preview text, click Create campaign draft, and confirm with Create draft.
Flow tab → check the emails and the wait time between them, click Change if you want a different automation type, then click Create flow draft and confirm with Create draft.
Step 5. Click Open in Omnisend to review the result:
Template: appears in Store settings → Saved templates, built on top of your footer if you set one.
Campaign: appears in Campaigns as a draft, copied from your base campaign, including its audience.
Flow: appears in Automation as a workflow that isn't started yet. Review the trigger and emails, then start it when you're ready.
To build an automation, put the email frames inside one container frame in Figma, left to right for email 1, 2, 3. EmailBridge suggests the automation type from the container's name (for example, Welcome creates a Welcome Series), and you can change it on the Flow tab.
To create an SMS campaign draft, put SMS in the name of a frame that holds your text, select it, check the preview and length in the plugin, and click Create SMS campaign draft. It appears in Campaigns as an SMS draft copied from your SMS base campaign. An SMS carries one link: the first one in the frame.
FAQ
Does EmailBridge send emails or SMS from Omnisend?
No. Everything arrives as a saved template or a draft. You review, schedule, and send it in Omnisend.
Does EmailBridge access my contacts?
No. It doesn't ask for access to your contacts, subscribers, or segments. A campaign draft keeps the audience of the base campaign it was copied from.
Can I connect more than one Omnisend brand?
Yes. Each brand in EmailBridge connects to its own Omnisend account, and you pick the brand in the Figma plugin before each build. The number of brands depends on your EmailBridge plan.
What if a build fails?
Check that:
The brand card in EmailBridge says Connected with Omnisend. If it says Disconnected in Omnisend, click Connect with Omnisend again.
Your design uses slices made with Figma's Slice tool.
The brand has a base campaign set (or an SMS base campaign for SMS) if you're creating a campaign or SMS draft.
The right Omnisend brand is selected in the plugin's account menu.
How do I disconnect EmailBridge?
In EmailBridge, click the edit icon on the brand card and click Disconnect Omnisend.
