This article explains how you can do that with our Email Builder for your campaigns and automations.

Custom design templates

Omnisend provides you with a variety of predefined template choices. These templates have their own layout, content, and design. However, these might not perfectly suit your design, layout, or content-wise needs.

By creating a custom design template for campaigns and automation, you will be able to use a template that best fits your needs.

Custom design templates save the following settings:

  • Chosen design (colors, fonts, sizes);

  • Layout and number of Items;

  • Width (please, be aware that the width might not be supported with certain devices and your email might look distorted, we recommend you to test it before sending your campaign);

  • Content in the Items (for example, your social network icons, address on the footer, logo, etc.);

This means you can create a template once and reuse it later for all your campaigns and automations.

Saving a template

If you have already created a campaign and would like to reuse this template for your future campaigns and automations, please go through the following steps:

  1. Go to your draft campaign or automation email, which you want to save as a template.

  2. Click on the arrow sign on the top right corner.

  3. Choose Save as a template:

4. Once you click on Save as a template, you will get the options on how to save it - as a new template or update an existing one. For a new template, you will need to type in a name; for an existing one, just pick the required template from a dropdown menu.

Saving it as a new template will add it to your templates list. Updating the template will allow you to choose one of the already created templates and keep the changes.

5. After naming your template, click on Save as a template, and you will get confirmation that your new template has been saved.

You can create as many different custom templates as you like πŸ˜‰

Using a saved template

Once your custom template is saved, you can reuse it for your campaigns and automations.

To use your template, open an existing campaign or automation or create a new one and look for a tab called Saved templates when selecting templates.

πŸ’‘ Tip! You can always get back to selecting a different template by clicking Change template.
