Create a Fullscreen Signup Form

Written by Ira

A fullscreen form takes over the visitor's entire screen when it appears. It removes distractions from surrounding pages and places your message at the center of the browsing experience – useful for high-impact campaigns where full attention matters.

This article explains how to create and configure a fullscreen signup form in Omnisend.

Before You Begin

  • The Omnisend JavaScript snippet must be installed on your site for the form to appear. For Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce stores, the snippet is added automatically. For custom platforms, add it manually.

  • Fullscreen form templates and Forms AI support are coming soon. You can build your form manually in the Form Builder now (Theme Settings → Form Layout → Display Type).

Step 1. Create a New Fullscreen Form

You can convert an existing popup or flyout into a fullscreen form. In the Form Builder, click anywhere outside the form → Theme SettingsForm LayoutDisplay TypeFullscreen.

Step 2. Customize Your Form

Use the drag-and-drop Form Builder to design your form. Add and arrange content blocks from the left sidebar, including:

  • Email field and Phone number field – collect subscriber information.

  • Text and Image – add headlines, body copy, and visuals.

  • Button – configure your call-to-action.

  • Legal Consent – add a GDPR or TCPA checkbox for compliance.

  • Discount – display a static code or connect a unique code via a Welcome Automation Workflow.

Step 3. Adjust Theme Settings

Click anywhere outside the form to open Theme Settings on the right sidebar.

Under Form Layout, you can adjust:

  • Form Width – set the width of your form content within the fullscreen canvas (300–1000 px).

  • Background Image – add an image and set it to fill or fit the space.

Under Form Styles, customize corners, borders, and overlay color to match your brand.

Step 4. Configure Behavior Settings

Open the Behavior tab on the right sidebar to control when and where the form appears.

Fullscreen forms support the same behavior options as popups:

  • Display triggers – show the form after a set time, scroll depth, number of page visits, or exit intent.

  • Targeting – show the form on specific URLs or to specific visitor segments.

  • Scheduling – set start and end dates for time-sensitive campaigns.

  • Frequency – control how often the form reappears for the same visitor.

  • Redirect after submission – send visitors to a custom URL after they submit.

Step 5. Enable Your Form

When your form is ready, click Enable to make it live, or Save and Close to save it as a draft.

FAQ

How is a fullscreen form different from a popup?

A popup appears as a window over your page content. A fullscreen form covers the entire viewport, removing all surrounding page elements so the visitor's full attention is on the form.
