Our Forms AI Assistant helps you quickly create on-brand signup forms using the power of AI. Instead of manually building a popup or flyout from scratch, you can describe what you need and let the AI handle the design, structure, and copy.

What is the Forms AI Assistant?

The Forms AI Assistant allows you to generate a new signup form just by entering a short prompt.

Whether you want a seasonal popup, a discount-driven flyout, or a form for a specific campaign, the AI will do the heavy lifting for you.

The Assistant generates new forms based on your brand assets, including colors and fonts, and aligns them with your tone of voice. You only need to write a short prompt describing your form’s purpose and content, for example:

“Create a fall-themed popup offering 10% off for first-time buyers. Include email and first name fields.”

The AI will then:

  • Pick your brand style automatically

  • Generate a visually engaging popup or flyout form

  • Add relevant fields (like email or name inputs)

  • Suggest headlines and subheadings that match your brand tone

Benefits

  • Save Time: No need to start from scratch. Generate a form layout, copy, and visuals in seconds. No need to design or write everything manually.

  • Stay On-Brand: AI utilizes your brand’s assets and style to ensure the result aligns with your look and feel.

  • Creative variety: Use prompts as a creative springboard. Each generation gives a new, unique version to choose from.

  • Easy to refine: Generated forms can be fully edited in the form builder. The AI gets you 80% of the way there; you make it perfect.

Before You Begin

Please note that the Forms AI Assistant currently supports popup and flyout forms only. At the moment, AI can’t generate or configure the following:

  • Wheel of Fortune forms

  • Teasers

  • Countdown timers

  • Behavior settings, including targeting, visibility, and other display rules

You can still add or adjust these elements manually later in the Form Builder once your AI-generated form is created.

How to Use It

1. Go to Forms Create Form Continue with AI

2. In the prompt box, describe what the form should be about, like in the example above (e.g., “summer sale popup with 15% discount for newsletter signup”). Click Generate form.

While your form is being generated, you can chat with the Assistant to ensure the AI fully understands your request.

The Assistant may:

  • Ask clarifying questions about your prompt if something isn’t clear.

  • Invite you to share more details or preferences directly in the chat.

  • Use your replies to adjust and improve the form it’s creating.

Once the conversation is complete, the AI will generate your form based on all the information you’ve provided.

💡 You can use this chat to refine your ideas and guide the AI step by step – it’s a quick way to get more accurate, on-brand results.

3. Wait for the AI to design your form – it usually takes less than 2 minutes.

4. Review the preview (mobile and desktop) and click Edit in Form Builder to customize it further.

💡 You can also try again with a new prompt if you want different styles or layouts. Keep your prompt clear but open-ended. Let the AI be creative, then refine.

Edit & Customize

Even after AI generation, you maintain full control:

  • Update images using your library or stock photos.

  • Refine text to better match your brand voice.

  • Adjust form behavior (timing, exit-intent, etc.).

  • Add or remove fields based on your needs.

We still advise human review. AI is your starting block, not the finish line.

Troubleshooting Tips

Long Generation Time

Most forms built with our AI assistant are ready within 2 minutes. If generation takes longer:

  • Stop and retry.

  • Simplify or tweak your prompt.

  • Sometimes, retrying with the same prompt works.

Inconsistent Results

AI-generated forms may vary, even with the same prompt. This is an expected behavior and part of how AI works. Don’t hesitate to regenerate the form multiple times for variety.

Not Satisfied with the Result?

You can edit everything after getting the form created by AI:

  • Text

  • Form fields

  • Images

  • Behavior and triggers

Please note that the image position and format may not be captured from the prompts. You can make edits after clicking 'Edit' in the Form Builder.

Best Practices for Prompt Writing

The Forms AI Assistant relies on your prompt to understand what kind of form you want to create. Think of it like giving directions to a designer — the clearer and more descriptive you are, the better your results.

A strong prompt typically includes:

  1. Theme or context – what the form is about

  2. Goal or offer – why visitors should sign up

  3. Tone or mood – how it should feel (fun, elegant, cozy, bold, etc.)

  4. Form elements – what fields or content blocks to include

Prompt template example:

Create a [insert theme and style] signup form designed to [state the goal of the form].

Include fields for: [list all fields you want to collect data through, such as email, name, dropdown, etc.]

The form should have a [describe your color palette] set of colors.

Headline: [insert text or describe intent]
Subheading: [insert text or describe intent]
CTA button: [insert text or describe intent]

Add a background image with [describe what your form image should look like].

Prompt Categories and Examples

Below are examples of prompts grouped by marketing goals and seasonal inspiration. Use them as templates, just replace the details to match your brand and campaign.

1. Promotions and Sales

Perfect for campaigns aiming to increase conversions or grow your list around special offers.

  • “Create a popup for our weekend flash sale. Offer 20% off with bold visuals and a clear call to action.”

  • “Design a minimalist flyout announcing a buy-one-get-one offer. Include email and phone fields.”

  • “Make a popup that invites users to subscribe for an exclusive discount code.”

Tips:

  • Mention the discount percentage and visual tone (“bright,” “clean,” “premium”)

  • Add emotional hooks like “exclusive,” “limited time,” or “special offer”

2. Seasonal and Holiday Campaigns

Engage visitors with timely, themed messages.

  • “Create a spring-themed popup with floral visuals and a welcoming tone. Encourage users to join our newsletter for seasonal updates.”

  • “Design a Christmas popup offering free shipping on all gifts. Include email and first name fields.”

  • “Make a spooky Halloween-themed form promoting our costume sale.”

Tips:

  • “Design a stylish flyout with a headline about joining our design community newsletter.”

  • Add a personal tone (“Join our family,” “Let’s stay in touch”)

4. Brand Story and Community

Ideal for building relationships and brand trust.

  • “Design a popup that highlights our eco-friendly mission. Include a short message about sustainability.”

5. Product Launches or New Collections

Generate excitement around something new.

  • “Create a popup introducing our new skincare line. Include an image placeholder and a soft pastel theme.”

  • “Design a bold popup announcing our latest sneaker drop — energetic and modern.”

  • “Make a form for early access to our upcoming collection with a countdown feel.”

Tips:

  • Mention the product category and aesthetic

  • Use urgent or exclusive phrasing (“Be first to know,” “Early access only”)

6. Creative and Fun Prompts

Try these when you want to experiment with AI’s creativity.

  • “Make a retro-themed popup inspired by 90s ads, asking users to subscribe for throwback deals.”

  • “Design a popup that looks like a handwritten note for a personal touch.”

  • “Create a playful popup with emojis and bright colors to encourage users to join our rewards club.”

Tips:

  • Play with tone descriptors (“playful,” “retro,” “elegant,” “luxury”)

  • Keep your instructions flexible so AI has space to be creative

Prompting Tips

To get the best results:

  • Be descriptive, not long – two to four sentences are enough.

  • Use natural language – write as if you’re explaining your idea to a designer.

  • Avoid constraints like “exactly this color” or “add this image” (you can edit later).

  • Experiment – the same idea written in a slightly different way can produce new and better layouts.
