Save time and boost your campaign’s visibility by automatically sharing your newsletter to your Facebook page when you send it to your subscribers!

With this feature, there’s no need to manually copy and post your newsletter URL. When you publish a campaign in Omnisend, your newsletter link can be shared directly to your connected Facebook Page, allowing your followers to see your latest updates at the same time your email hits inboxes.

Before You Begin

  • For the feature to work correctly, you have to be an admin for at least one Facebook page, as Facebook does not allow you to post to your personal Facebook profile.

  • You will be able to auto-post your regular campaign to Facebook; A/B test campaigns and booster campaigns will not be posted.

  • The auto-post to Facebook feature is available on all Omnisend pricing plans.

  • Please keep in mind that all links in the test Campaigns will expire after 10 clicks, and each link of the Campaign (automation workflows are not affected). The test email will expire 48 hours after it was sent.

Setup process

Step 1. To be able to use the Auto-post to Facebook feature, you should first connect to the Facebook Auto-Post Campaigns app. Go to Apps → Find the Auto-Post Campaigns app.

Step 2. Click the 'Connect now' button.

Step 3. Continue with authorizing access to your Facebook page, click Authorize access, and log in to your Facebook account.

Step 4. Follow the wizard steps to connect. Once you click Done, you will get a message that Omnisend auto-post to Facebook is successfully linked to your page.

At this stage, you need to select the Facebook Page you want to connect to.

Great job! You are now ready to auto-post to Facebook.

Campaign Settings

When creating a new campaign, make sure to enable the Facebook toggle in Campaign settings to post that campaign to your Facebook page.

Auto-Post Settings

Once you enable the Auto-Post feature, you will be able to customize your Facebook post, choosing your post caption (message) and image.

Select a Page

The system selects a default Facebook page based on what you have already connected. If you have more than one page connected, you will be able to choose which page to post to.

Post Message

You can add the caption you'd like to use for your post in the message box. If no message is added, the campaign subject line will be automatically selected as a default message.

We will automatically add your newsletter link to the end of your message, as the link is generated only after the campaign is sent. You can change your link position in the post by adding [[view_link]] anywhere in the message.

Important! Personalization tags with Omnisend will not work in your Facebook post, so please avoid using them in your message.

Add an Image

To make your post stand out, you can select the images you'd like to show. You can easily upload up to 4 images of your choice.

If no images are added, the system will automatically use the first image from your campaign, excluding the company logo, which is never counted or selected for Facebook posts. If there is no image in your campaign and you select no images, your post on Facebook will come with a link and a message only.

Note! If you add custom images, they will not function as clickable links to your campaign when the post is auto-posted to Facebook.

💡 It is always recommended to either select images to include in your post or add images to your campaign. Remember that the first image in the campaign is what will be shown in your post (without counting the logo image).
