Canva is a design platform for creating email banners, social media graphics, and other marketing visuals. With the Canva integration, your designs sync automatically to your Omnisend Image Library – no manual downloading or uploading required.
Before You Begin
You need an active Canva account to connect the integration.
You must create a folder named Omnisend at the top level of your Canva Projects (not inside another folder).
Designs sync as PNG files only.
Only one "Omnisend" folder is synced per account.

Setup Process
Step 1: Prepare Your Sync Folder in Canva
In Canva, go to Projects and create a new folder at the top level. Name it whatever you'd like - you'll enter this name during the connection setup in Omnisend.
Move any designs you want to sync into this folder. Any design added or updated here will sync to your Omnisend Image Library.
Important Notes:
The folder must be at the top level of Canva Projects. Folders nested inside another folder will not sync.
The folder must already exist in Canva before connecting.
Folder name matching is case-insensitive (
omnisendandOMNISENDboth work).
Step 2: Connect Your Canva Account
In Omnisend, go to Apps → search for Canva → click Connect Now.
You'll be redirected to Canva to authorize the connection. Log in and click Allow to grant Omnisend access. Once authorized, you'll be redirected back to Omnisend.
During connection setup, you'll be asked to enter the name of the Canva folder you want to sync. Enter the exact name of the folder you created in Step 1. The name defaults to Omnisend if left blank.
Step 3: Configure Sync Settings
After connecting, in Omnisend, go to Apps → Canva → Settings and configure the following:
Auto-sync - Toggle on to automatically sync new and updated designs every 12 hours.
Sync now - Click to instantly sync all new and updated designs from your Canva folder to the Omnisend Image Library.
Note: The sync may take 1 minute or longer, depending on the number of images.
Step 4: Use Your Designs in Campaigns
Go to Campaigns or Automations → open the Email Builder → drag an Image item into your email, and click Select file.
Your synced Canva designs will appear there, ready to use in your campaigns and automation messages.

FAQ
Which image formats are supported?
Designs are synced as PNG files. Note that not all Canva design types support PNG export - video designs, animated designs, and documents may fail to sync. If you see a sync error, check your folder for any video, animated, or document-type designs and move them out of the sync folder.
What if I don't see my designs in the Image Library?
Check that your designs are inside the correct folder at the top level of Canva Projects (see Step 1). Then go to Apps → Canva → Settings and click Sync now. Keep in mind that the sync might take 1 minute or longer, depending on how many images are syncing.
Can I rename the folder after connecting?
Yes. You can rename the folder directly in Canva. The integration will continue syncing from the same folder even after it's been renamed.
Can I connect multiple Omnisend brands to the same Canva account and sync from different folders?
Yes. You can connect the same Canva account to different Omnisend brands and set a different folder name for each connection, so each account syncs from its own dedicated folder.
Can I have multiple Canva folders synced?
Currently, only one folder is synced per Canva connection.
What happens if I disconnect Canva?
Existing images in your Omnisend Image Library will remain. New designs will no longer be synced until you reconnect.
