Product Recommendation Quiz is the personal shopper for your eCommerce store visitors. Shoppable quizzes drive sales, advise customers on finding the right products, and help them make confident purchasing decisions.
With the Product Recommendation Quiz app, you can create quizzes and embed them on your website. Thanks to the integration between Product Recommendation Quiz and Omnisend, all the answers will be sent along with the contact information to Omnisend and you'll be able to use them to segment your audience and send personalized emails.
Then you'll need to create an Omnisend API key. Learn how to create an API key in Omnisend here.
Once the API key is created, copy it and proceed to your Product Recommendation Quiz account. Create a new quiz or open an existing one -> go to 'Connect CRM'
tab -> find Omnisend among other integrations and click 'Connect':
Paste the API key that you've created previously and click 'Save':
That's it! Once the quiz is published and customers go through it, all the answers are passed to Omnisend along with the contact info.
What data is passed
Emails and phone numbers collected via Product Recommendation Quiz app quizzes will be passed with subscribed status to Omnisend. While all the other data collected will be passed as contact custom properties that you'll be able to use later to create segments.
Here's an example contact passed by Product Recommendation Quiz app:
If multiple options are selected in one of your quiz steps, they'll be listed as custom property values separated by '/'.
Also, if you add any contact tags based on the answers selected in your quiz:
They'll be passed to Omnisend as well:
Send automated emails to Revenue Hunt contacts
To send automated emails to contacts passed by the Revenue Hunt, you'll need to create a segment based on custom properties that only exist in profiles that took the quiz. In your case, you’ll have to only include profiles that have the following property set:

Then create an automation workflow that is triggered when someone gets added to the segment we created in the previous step. Here’s how to do it:
Then design the email that will be sent out to the Quiz takers, save it and enable the workflow. Сheck out the next section for some useful ideas for your follow-up emails.
Since all the customer answers are passed to Omnisend as custom properties, you can go an extra step and send out different emails/SMS follow-ups based on the answers your customer selects.
For example, in our test quiz, we ask the customer which age group he belongs to.
Then this data is passed to Omnisend along with the contact information:
So to send a different email to customers that belong to the 30s age group, we'll need to create a segment based on the custom property shown on the screenshot above:
Then add a split block to your automation workflow for Revenue Hunt quiz takers. Send an email recommending some products:
Then if customers won't open the email after a couple of days, send out an SMS recommending the same collection:
