WP Fusion is a 3rd party WordPress plugin that allows you to connect WordPress websites with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other marketing automation tools. It's designed to you to integrate and synchronize data between your WordPress site and external platforms.

Contents

Before you begin

  • WP Fusion has a lite version and full version. Omnisend supports both versions, just that with a paid plan you'll get more features;

  • Store must be connected to either WordPress or WooCommerce in order for it to work.

Benefits

Connect WP Fusion to Omnisend will allow you to send more personalized and targeted emails, help organize and target your audience more effectively and trigger automatic emails based on user actions on your site.

  • Track purchases and subscription statuses;

  • Recover abandoned carts.

Setup process

Step 1. Create an API Key. In Omnisend, go to → Apps → Search for "WP Fusion" → Click on "Connect Now" → Copy an API Key.

Step 2. As per WP Fusion's documentation, in order to install full version, you need to upload the zip file of the plugin once it's purchased. Go to your WordPress dashboard → Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin → Select the zip file that's located on your device and click Install now:

Step 3. From Select CRM dropdown, select Omnisend, enter API key that you generated earlier and enter the license key for automatic updates and support. For Lite version of WP-Fusion, there's no need to enter lisence. Press Save Changes to complete integration process:

Step 4. To enable site tracking, you need to enable Site tracking in WP Fusion. Go to General Settings → under "Omnisend Settings" section, check "Enable Omnisend site tracking" box and enter your Brand ID. Brand ID can be found in your store settings in Omnisend:

After Brand ID is entered into the field, click save changes at the bottom of the page.

Once enabled, WP Fusion will automatically add Omnisend's tracking script in the footer of all your pages. This will help you to track contacts activities where you can use this data later in your automations and segmentation.

Step 5. In Omnisend, check the box that all the steps are done and confirm the changes.

And that's it! WP Fusion will now establish a direct connection to your Omnisend account and import your tags and custom fields.
