Integration with Joy Loyalty Program

Learn how to integrate Joy Loyalty Program with your Omnisend account

Setup Process

Step 1. Proceed to the 'Joy Loyalty Program' dashboard → Integrations → Select Omnisend from the list. 

Step 2. From there, click on the Connect button.

Step 3. Log into your account and authorize access if needed. And that's it; Omnisend is connected! Joy Loyalty will start synching information to Omnisend automatically. You will be redirected back to your Joy Loyalty dashboard.

If the 'Connected to Omnisend' message doesn't appear, click the Sync button.

Step 4. Select which events you would like to sync to Omnisend too.

What Data is Passed?

  • Customers' details: email address, subscription status, consent, and opt-in date.

  • Loyalty Points Balance: custom property that allows personalized communications based on customer point levels.

  • Membership Status: custom property that allows the segmenting of campaigns by program participation (active/inactive).

  • Referral Link: custom property that can be used to encourage referrals with customer-specific referral links.

  • VIP Tier: customer property that allows target VIP members with exclusive offers and communications.

  • Birthday Details: Automate birthday rewards and celebration campaigns.

When applicable, custom properties will be created and will appear under your contacts' profiles, accessible for personalization in campaigns and automations.

If you see that some info is out of sync between Joy and Omnisend, you can click sync option in integration settings. After a while, check if all will be synced and then compare.

Use Cases

First option. Omnisend can sync customers' data and automatically update loyalty customers' data from Joy: Points, Tiers, and Birthdays. Example of a customer on Joy's side:

Note: Birthdays will be passed to Omnisend as the default birthdate system property, allowing you to use our preset Birthday automation.

You can use Omnisend to send notifications to your customers about customer loyalty activities. You can also use synced custom properties to personalize your campaigns or automation workflows. To automate the process, you can segment by any of Joy's custom properties.


For example, when a customer reaches a different tier or accumulates a certain amount of points, you can use personalization in your campaigns and automations to access the properties passed from Joy Loyalty.

Second option. You can also use custom events passed from Joy as triggers of flows in Omnisend.

Create custom flow → select one of Joy events as a trigger → set up other blocks, such as delay and email content.

You can same way include info passed within event in message sent in Omnisend flow.
