Click Map shows which links in your email campaign got the most clicks – by overlaying click data directly on your email content.
Use it to identify which products, CTAs, and links drive the most engagement, so you can optimize future campaigns.
Before You Begin
Click maps are available for email campaigns only. For automation workflows, use the Link Activity section to view detailed click performance data.
The View Clickmap button only appears if your campaign has at least one click.
For a full overview of campaign reporting, see Individual Campaign and Automation Reports.
How to Access Click Map
Go to Reports → Campaigns.
Under Campaign Performance, select the campaign you want to analyze.
Click View Clickmap in the top right corner.
Note: This button only appears if your campaign has at least one click.
How to Use Click Map
Click Map displays your email content with click data overlaid on each link. Use the right-side menu to:
Toggle Unique or Total Clicks: Choose whether to display unique clickers (counted once per person) or total clicks (including repeat clicks).
Sort Links: Sort by order in email, most clicked, or least clicked.
Use "Cold-to-Hot" Coloring: Visual heatmap shows which links performed best (darker = more clicks).
💡 Unique clicks show how many contacts clicked each link (counted once per person). Total clicks show how many times each link was clicked (including multiple clicks from the same person).
Where Click Metrics Are Displayed
Click metrics are also available in:
Campaign Overview Page: View total clicks, click rate, and unique clickers.
Link Activity Tab: Analyze click performance per link, including total clicks, unique clicks, and percentage of recipients who clicked each URL.
For detailed instructions, see Individual Campaign Reports: Link Activity.
FAQ
Can I see a click map for automation workflows?
Click maps are currently available for email campaigns only. For automation workflows, go to Reports → Automation → select your workflow → choose a message from the dropdown → Link Activity tab to view which links were clicked, total clicks, and unique clicks per link.
Why do click map totals exceed the overview click count?
The overview click count shows unique clickers (how many people clicked at least once). The click map shows total clicks across all links, including multiple clicks from the same person. If 88 people clicked, but some clicked 3 different links, the click map total will exceed 88.
Why can't I find the "View Clickmap" button?
The View Clickmap button appears in the top right corner of your campaign report, but only if:
You're viewing an email campaign (not an automation workflow).
Your campaign has received at least one click.
Go to Reports → Campaigns → Campaign Performance → click the campaign name → View Clickmap (top right).
Why doesn't my exported Contact Activity match the click rate in the overview?
Click Rate shows the percentage of recipients who clicked at least one link. The exported Contact Activity list may differ because:
Unsubscribe and Preference Center clicks are excluded from the click rate calculation.
Bot/server clicks (security scanners) may inflate activity, but aren't separated from human clicks.
The overview uses unique clickers; the export is an event list that may include excluded clicks.
