Ecommerce business, most of the time, focuses on email marketing exclusively, but how ample is the opportunity to show a short notification with a catchy image even when the customer is not browsing your store?

With the Push Notifications channel in place, you may attract your customer's attention and drive more sales to your store.

If your store is on a Bigcommerce platform and you'd like to set up Push notifications, this is the right article. If your store is on another platform, check this one: Push notifications.

Setup process

Step 1. Click on your store name in the top right corner → Open Store Settings → Push Notifications.

Step 2. Click Turn on push notifications.

Step 3. Download the file, you'll need to add it to your Bigcommerce account.

Step 4. Find your connection data.

In BigCommerce, open Server Settings and choose File Access (WebDAV). Use the data provided on the File Access page to connect to your BigCommerce FTP in the following steps.

If you're experiencing issues - download and open the Cyberduck connection file.

Step 5. Access your FTP client (CyberDuck or Filezilla).

Download and install Cyberduck or Filezilla. In this example, we will use Cyberducks' FTP client. Open Cyberduck. Choose Open connection and simply copy&paste all the data seen in the previous step to the fields:

• Change the first selection (FTP) to WebDav(HTTPS)

• In Server enter WebDAV Path

• In Username enter WebDAV Username

• In Password enter WebDAV Password

Step 6. Access the content folder and paste the files.

Open the Content folder and upload the file you've downloaded at the very beginning.

After the upload is finished, click Verify at the bottom of the 'Configure' page - it will verify if everything is okay.
