Setup Process
Firstly, create an API key. To do this, click on your brand name in the top right corner -> Store settings:
Click on the 'API keys' section:
Then click the 'Create API Key' button:
Enter the name of your API key, keep default settings and click 'Save':
Then proceed to your SMSBump account - > Integrations tab - > select Omnisend among other integrations:
You'll be redirected to the Omnisend integration page. Paste the API key into the corresponding field and click 'Install':
The page will refresh automatically, and you’ll see the following integration settings:
Integration status: Use this toggle button to enable or disable the integration.
Sync SMSBump email subscribers to Omnisend: Enable this to send all email subscribers collected with SMSBump to an Omnisend list.
Sync Omnisend SMS subscribers to SMSBump: Enable this to send all SMS subscribers from Omnisend to an automatically created SMSBump list.
Manually sync Omnisend SMS subscribers to SMSBump: Click on this button to immediately sync subscribers between platforms, based on the previous settings.
What Data is Passed
Once the integration is set up all the SMS subscribers (phone numbers) will be automatically synced from Omnisend to the SMSBump audience.
Also, all the email and SMS subscribers will be synced from SMSBump audience to Omnisend. Fields that will be synced:
Email address (subscribed status);
Phone number (subscribed status);
'source: smsbump' tag.
Note! Only new subscribers collected by SMSBump after enabling the integration will be synced to Omnisend. Contacts collected prior to enabling the integration won't be synced automatically. If you'd like to add them to your Omnisend audience, you'll need to export contacts from SMSBump and import them to Omnisend.
Sending Follow-up Email and/or SMS to SMSBump subscribers
To send automated emails to SMSBump contacts create a segment based on the 'source: smsbump' tag:
Once the segment is created, create an automation workflow based on Contact enters a segment trigger, and select your segment as trigger filter.
