Setup Process

Firstly, create an API key. To do this click on your brand name in the top right corner -> Store settings:

Click on the 'API keys' section:

Then click the 'Create API Key' button:

Enter the name of your API key, keep default settings and click 'Save':

Head to your ConvertFlow account - > Settings - > Integrations - > Omnisend:

Paste the API key into a corresponding field and click the 'Connect Integration' button:

Then map all the fields you have in your ConvertFlow Signup Forms to custom fields in Omnisend (you can use any names) and click 'Save Field Mapping'.

Note! Some of the fields are mapped automatically. Therefore, they're not on the list of fields that should be mapped.

That's it! Click the 'Resync' button, and all the contacts from your ConvertFlow audience will be passed to Omnisend.

For organising purposes, add Convertflow in the Omnisend App Market too. So, you'd keep a list of all the connected apps in one place:

What Data is Passed

Whenever a new contact is created in ConvertFlow or integration is setup (Resync button clicked), these contact properties will be passed to Omnisend:

  • email address (subscribed status)

  • phone number (subscribed status)

  • first name

  • last name

  • tag 'source: convertflow'

  • all the other properties that you map in the Omnisend integration settings are passed as custom properties

Also, if you have multiple ConvertFlow forms, you can apply custom tags to each form. This will let you know which specific form each contact has filled out. Read this article to learn how to apply custom tags in ConvertFlow.

Use cases

Send Automated Emails to ConvertFlow Contacts

To send automated emails to ConvertFlow contacts, create a segment based on your 'source: convertflow' tag:

Once the segment is created, create an automation workflow based on Contact enters a segment trigger and select your segment as the trigger filter.

If you have multiple ConvertFlow Forms and you want to send different emails to them, you need to apply unique custom tags to each form, as explained here. Then create a separate segment based on each unique tag and separate automation for each segment.

Segmenting based on data passed by ConvertFlow

You can utilize all the data collected by ConvertFlow to create segments. It allows sending the right message to the right people. For example, if you're selling products for pets, you can ask which pet your customer has by adding a custom field to your ConvertFlow form. Then map it, as explained here. After collecting some answers using your ConvertFlow Signup Form, you'll be able to segment based on the answers your customers have given and create multiple segments (e.g., Cat owners, Dog owners, Parrot owners, etc.):

Then use the 'Dog owners' segment to promote products for dogs only, the 'Cat owners' segment to promote products for cats, etc.

You can also include data collected by ConvertFlow in your email/SMS content using personalization.
