New Standard Campaign and Workflow Reports

We are now providing updated Standard Campaign and Workflow Reports for new Omnisend accounts. These reports offer valuable insights to help you track and optimize your campaigns and workflows effectively.

These reports will be gradually rolled out to all Omnisend customers in the future.

These new reports are available for:

  • New accounts on all non-ICP platforms and custom integrations that are connected to Omnisend starting from the 28th of June, 2024.

  • New accounts on Shopify, BigCommerce, and WooCommerce that are connected to Omnisend starting from the 26th of July, 2024.

By the end of this guide, you'll be equipped with the knowledge to:

  • Analyze the performance of your email, SMS, and Push notification campaigns.

  • Compare different versions of your email campaigns using A/B testing reports.

  • Track the effectiveness of your automated workflows.

  • Understand key performance metrics and how they impact your marketing efforts.

Overview of Features

  • Email Campaign Report: This report provides insights into the performance of your email campaigns, including delivery rates, open rates, click rates, and conversion metrics.

  • Email A/B Campaign Report: Compares the performance of different versions (A and B) of your email campaigns, highlighting metrics like open rates, click rates, and revenue generated.

  • SMS Campaign Report: This report details the effectiveness of your SMS campaigns, showing metrics such as delivery rates, unsubscribe rates, click rates, and overall performance.

  • Push Campaign Report: This report analyzes the engagement of your push notification campaigns, with metrics including delivery rates, open rates, click rates, and device breakdown.

  • Workflow(Automation) Report: Tracks the performance of automated workflows, showcasing metrics like message delivery rates, open rates, click rates, and conversion metrics over time.

Accessing Reports

To access these reports, log in to your Omnisend account and navigate to the Reports section. Select the respective campaign or workflow report from the menu.

Campaigns and Actions Information under Standard Reports

  • Campaign Name: The name you gave for internal purposes.

  • Sent On: The campaign's start date and time in your timezone.

  • Sent To:

    • "All contacts" for campaigns sent to all email contacts.

    • Segment names for campaigns sent to specific segments.

  • Excluded: Segments that were excluded from receiving the campaign (not shown if no segments were excluded).

  • Campaign ID: A unique identifier for each sent campaign (inside the report).

  • Campaign Actions:

    • Copy Campaign: Creates a copy of the campaign and directs you to its sending flow.

    • Preview: Shows the sent message.

    • Boost campaign (only for email campaigns): Redirects to the booster sending flow.

Overview Page

Sales & Conversion Metrics

  • Placed Order Rate: Percentage of sent messages that generated attributed placed orders.

  • Revenue: Total value of all attributed placed orders, including refunded and/or canceled orders.

  • Secondary Metrics:

    • The number of attributed placed orders.

    • The average revenue per attributed placed order.

    • The average revenue per message sent.

  • Refunds and Cancellations: Metrics will be available starting in the upcoming months of 2024.

Delivery & Engagement Metrics

  • Messages Sent: Number of sent messages in the campaign.

  • Delivery Rate: Percentage and number of successfully delivered messages.

  • Failed Delivery Rate: Percentage and number of messages that failed to deliver.

  • Marked as Spam Rate: Percentage and number of messages marked as spam (Email campaigns only).

  • Unsubscribe Rate: Percentage and number of messages that resulted in unsubscribes.

  • Open Rate: Percentage and number of opened messages (Email and Push campaigns only).

  • Click Rate: Percentage and number of clicked messages.

First 24-Hour Performance

Shows the number of opened and clicked messages each hour for the first 24 hours after the campaign's start.

Link Activity Page (for all Email campaigns, including A/B tests)

  • Aggregated Message Link Click Statistics: Number of contacts who clicked, links clicked per contact, total clicks per contact.

  • Link Performance:

    • Unique Clicks: Percentage and number of contacts who clicked each link.

    • Total Clicks: Percentage and number of total clicks each link received.

  • Click Map (for all Email campaigns, including A/B tests): Data for each message separately (version A and B), with filtering options for the A/B test period, winner period, and entire period.

Contact Activity Page

Contact Info

  • Email/Phone Number: Contact's email address or phone number.

  • Activity Date: Date and time when the contact's activity was captured.

Available Contact Activity Filters

  • Sent To: Contacts who were sent the message.

  • Opened: Contacts who opened the message.

  • Clicked: Contacts who clicked the message.

  • Unsubscribed: Contacts who unsubscribed via the message.

  • Marked as Spam (Reported as Spam): Contacts who marked the message as spam (Email campaigns only).

  • Failed to Deliver (Bounced): Contacts who didn't receive the message.

The placed Order filter will be available in future updates.


A/B Test Page (for A/B test campaigns)

  • A/B Test Setup Info & Results: Metrics for each version during the test period, including messages sent, delivery rate, failed delivery rate, marked as spam rate, unsubscribe rate, open rate, click rate, placed order rate, and revenue.

  • Winner Results: Metrics for the winning version, if applicable.


SMS Campaign Report

In addition to the standard report data outlined in the previous section, below is a list of features unique to the SMS campaign report.

Specific Metrics and Features

  • Sales & Conversion Metrics:

    • Total SMS Cost: Total cost of all SMS messages sent in the campaign.

  • Delivery & Engagement Metrics:

    • Unsubscribe Rate: Percentage and number of messages that resulted in unsubscribes.

    • Click Rate: Percentage and number of clicked messages.


Push Notifications Campaign Report

In addition to the standard report data outlined in the previous section, below is a list of features unique to the Push Notifications campaign report.

Specific Metrics and Features

  • Device Report:

    • Breakdown by Device Type: Percentage and number of total opens and clicks for each device type used.

  • Delivery & Engagement Metrics:

    • Open Rate: Percentage and number of opened messages.

    • Click Rate: Percentage and number of clicked messages.


Automation/Workflow Report

Workflow Info

  • Workflow Name: You gave us the name for internal purposes.

  • Last Enabled On: Date and time when the workflow was last enabled.

  • Last Edited On: Date and time when the workflow was last edited.

  • Created On: Date and time when the workflow was first created.

  • Workflow ID: Unique identifier for each workflow.

  • Workflow Actions: Option to edit the workflow.

Overview Page

Sales & Conversion Metrics

  • Placed Order Rate: Percentage of sent messages that generated attributed placed orders.

  • Revenue: Total value of all attributed placed orders, including refunded and/or canceled orders.

  • Secondary Metrics:

    • The number of attributed placed orders.

    • The average revenue per attributed placed order.

    • The average revenue per message sent.

  • Total SMS Cost: Total cost of all SMS messages sent in the workflow.

  • Refunds and Cancellations: Metrics will be available starting in the upcoming months of 2024.

  • Period Selection: Data can be selected for custom periods for your complete data history.

Channel Performance Over Time

  • Shows the number of messages sent, opened, and clicked for each channel separately over time.

  • Data can be aggregated:

    • Daily: Up to 31 days.

    • Weekly: Up to 1 year.

    • Monthly: Up to 5 years.

    • Quarterly and Yearly: For all periods.

Message Performance

Metrics shown for each message within the workflow, including:

  • Messages Sent

  • Delivery Rate

  • Failed Delivery Rate

  • Marked as Spam Rate (Email only)

  • Unsubscribe Rate

  • Open Rate (Email and Push)

  • Click Rate

  • Placed Order Rate

  • Revenue

Contact Activity Page

Contact Info

  • Email/Phone Number: Contact's email address or phone number.

  • Activity Date: Date and time when the contact's activity was captured.

Available Contact Activity Filters (based on the channel)

  • Sent To: Contacts who were sent the message.

  • Opened: Contacts who opened the message.

  • Clicked: Contacts who clicked the message.

  • Unsubscribed: Contacts who unsubscribed via the message.

  • Marked as Spam (Reported as Spam): Contacts who marked the message as spam (Email campaigns only).

  • Failed to Deliver (Bounced): Contacts who didn't receive the message.
