As of January 5, 2026, the Product Reviews feature is no longer available in Omnisend. You can still export your reviews and migrate to a third-party app that integrates with Omnisend. This article will walk you through the necessary steps.
This change allows us to focus on more impactful features for your business, including Email, SMS, and Automation.
Before You Begin
The Product Reviews sunset began in August 2025, and affected accounts were notified both in-app and via email.
Reviews collected before January 5, 2026, can still be exported using the options below.
All events and data connected to Product Reviews will be discontinued, so you need to review all previous setups that used this feature's data.
You can continue collecting product reviews with Omnisend third-party apps, syncing your review data to Omnisend for use in segments, campaigns, and automations.
What Changed & Why?
The Product Reviews feature has been removed from Omnisend. In the past, this feature included:
Collecting customer reviews directly through Omnisend;
Displaying reviews on your store;
Sending review request emails;
Managing and moderating customer feedback.
Starting January 5, 2026, you will no longer be able to collect, manage, or display product reviews through Omnisend, as this feature has been fully deprecated.
This change allows us to focus our resources on features that deliver measurable results for your business. By prioritizing Email, SMS, Automation, and Reports, we can build tools that have a bigger impact on your sales and customer engagement.
Review Your Current Setup
As the Product Reviews feature has been fully discontinued, the Product Reviews page in the Omnisend app will not be accessible, and the "submitted product review" event is no longer tracked. This affects automations and segments that use this event.
Here's what you need to check and update:
Automation
The "submitted product review" event is no longer tracked in Omnisend. This affects all your automations that use the event either as a trigger or an exit condition.
If the event was used as a trigger, the automation will become report-only. You’ll still have access to reports, but the automation will be disabled and can’t be edited.
If the event was used as an exit condition, it will be automatically removed. We recommend reviewing the automation and adding a new exit condition.
Segments
Segments based on the "submitted product review" event will remain fully accessible. You can still open these segments and perform actions, such as exporting contacts or applying tags.
However, no new contacts are expected to enter the segment, since the event is no longer tracked.
💡 If you haven’t created a segment using the "submitted product review" event yet, you can still do so to identify all contacts who submitted a review before the event was discontinued.
Export Your Product Reviews
If you didn’t export your reviews before January 5, you still have two options to access your data:
Option 1: Search Your Email Inbox
If your store had Product Reviews and you didn’t export your data earlier, we’ve already sent an email that includes your reviews export file.
Search your inbox for:
Sender: [email protected]
Subject line: Act now: Export your product reviews today
Option 2: Contact Our Support Team
If you can't find the email with your reviews export, contact our 24/7 support team. You can reach out to us via in-app chat or at [email protected].
Our team will escalate your request to the relevant department and send you the export file within 24-48 hours.
Alternative Solutions for Collecting Reviews
While the native Product Reviews feature is no longer available, you can continue collecting reviews using third-party apps integrated with Omnisend.

Will this affect my existing automation workflows?
If you have Automation Workflows that use the event "submitted product review", your automation will become report-only. Hence, you need to recreate them using your new third-party review app. Once integrated, you can rebuild the same workflows using the new app's triggers and data.
