We ship new features and improvements every week to help you work faster, reach more customers, and get better results. Here's what's new in March.


Campaigns

Email Campaign Cancellation

You can now cancel email campaigns even after sending has started, giving you a safety net if you catch a last-minute mistake.

Once an email campaign (including A/B tests, boosters, and Time Zone Optimized campaigns) begins sending, you have a limited window to cancel it. This window typically lasts several minutes, depending on your recipient volume, and remains available until the emails are handed off for final delivery.

If canceled, the campaign moves to Canceled status. You can still access reports for emails that were delivered before the cancellation.

💡 This gives you a chance to stop a campaign if it was scheduled at the wrong time or contains incorrect content.

Automation

Automation Alerts: Deleted Segments

If you used a segment in a workflow and then deleted that segment, Automation Alerts will now flag it as an error so you can fix it before it impacts your automation.

This prevents workflow issues from outdated segment references and keeps your workflows running reliably.

Signup Forms

Updated Embedded Forms for Shopify

If your ecommerce platform is Shopify, you'll now see a guided setup experience when creating embedded forms, designed to meet Shopify's requirements and make the process easier for you.

When enabling your embedded form, click the "Open Shopify settings" button, and Omnisend will:

  • Automatically check if the Omnisend app embed is enabled in your active theme;

  • If not enabled → redirect you to turn it on;

  • If enabled → add the Omnisend Embedded Form block directly to your theme.

The manual embed code option remains available for older Shopify themes and other ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce, BigCommerce, etc.).

This streamlined setup saves you time and ensures your forms work correctly from the start.

Hide Form Close Button

You now have control over whether the close (X) button appears on your forms.

A new "Show close button" toggle under Theme settingsClose lets you hide the X button, which can help increase form signup rates by reducing the number of visitors who close the form without engaging.

Audience

SMS Subscription Dates in Exports

Contact exports now include SMS channel opt-in and opt-out dates, giving you the same subscription date visibility for SMS that you already have for email.

This allows you to properly migrate SMS subscribers between brands or accounts while preserving their original subscription dates.

Omnisend Reports

Expanded Ordered Product Reports

You can now see which products your automations are actually selling. Ordered Product Reporting has expanded beyond campaigns to give you deeper insights across your entire marketing strategy.

View ordered product data in:

  • Automation: Product reports for all workflows.

  • Contact Activity: See which products each contact ordered from both campaigns and automations.

  • Store-level reporting: Track product performance on the new Products page, alongside your Back in Stock report.

  • Exports: Download all product data for deeper analysis.

This gives you consistent product performance visibility across your entire Omnisend account – from individual workflows to store-wide trends.

Note: Historical data is available from November 1st for all Ordered Products reports.

Form Reports: Contact Activity

You now see every contact who submitted your form; no more missing submissions in your reports.

The Contact Activity tab now displays all contacts who submitted information through your form, regardless of whether it was their first subscription or not.

Deliverability

Click Tracking Domain for Email Links

Your email links can now appear under your own custom domain instead of a shared Omnisend tracking domain, building trust with your customers and protecting your deliverability.

When recipients hover over links in your emails, they'll see URLs like click.yourbrand.com/... instead of a generic shared domain. This makes your emails look more professional and trustworthy, reducing the "is this spam?" reaction that can hurt your click-through rates.

If you've already set up a subdomain for SMS short links, you can use the same Link domain for email click tracking, no additional DNS configuration needed.

Store Settings

SMS Purchase Flow Improvements

We've simplified how you purchase SMS credits by introducing a unified monthly SMS subscription flow.

Now, purchasing SMS is clearer and more predictable:

  • Select your monthly price and SMS volume first, then see the price per SMS based on your reference country.

  • Change the reference country to dynamically update the SMS volume, so you know exactly what you're getting for the price.

  • Auto-renewal options are always visible while subscribing.

  • Auto-renewal status is clearly shown in the SMS pricing table in Store settings → Pricing and usage.

  • Manage SMS subscriptions directly from the SMS tab in Store settings Pricing and usage.

Ecommerce Integrations

Shopify App Embed Updates

We've released Shopify App Embed Compliance Updates to meet Shopify App Store requirements and ensure your forms and tracking work seamlessly:

  • You'll see a setup screen guiding you to enable App Embed in your Shopify theme editor.

  • If you skip it, a red ribbon will remain visible in the app until setup is completed.

  • Embedded forms are now available as App Blocks in the Shopify Theme editor.

Without App Embed enabled, your forms won't display, and key automation events (like cart abandonment and checkout tracking) won't fire.

Omnisend API

Analytics Statistics API (Beta)

We've launched an Analytics Statistics API (Beta), allowing you to sync your Omnisend analytics data with external tools such as BI platforms, dashboards, or data warehouses.

With the Analytics Statistics API, you can:

  • Access campaign and workflow performance metrics.

  • Retrieve engagement, revenue attribution, deliverability, and audience growth data.

  • Query aggregated analytics grouped by event date.

  • Run up to four queries per request.

  • Use the public endpoint: POST /api/analytics/statistics.

This gives you more flexibility to analyze your data your way, whether you're building custom dashboards, syncing data to another platform, or supporting advanced reporting workflows.

Important: The API groups data by event date (when the action happened), not send date. Numbers will differ from in-app reports by design.

Partner Portal

UI & UX Improvements in Registration and Login Flows

We've released several UI and UX improvements in Partner Portal, from enhanced visuals to an optimized mobile registration experience, to make your experience more seamless and engaging.

Integrations

New App: Checkout Champ

Checkout Champ is a hosted checkout and CRM platform designed for ecommerce businesses that want faster checkout experiences and more control over post-purchase flows. By integrating with Omnisend, you can:

  • Trigger automations for checkout started, orders placed, cancellations, and refunds.

  • Segment contacts using order, product, and campaign data.

  • Sync email and SMS subscription status automatically.

UI & UX Improvements

We continue shipping updates every week to improve Omnisend's usability. This month includes:

  • Search field for segments in automation audience filters – find the segment you need faster.

  • Segment name sync – renamed segments in Audience now update correctly in Automations.

  • TFN SMS consent screenshot upload limit increased from 500 KB to 5 MB – no more "file too big" errors for standard screenshots.

  • Animated "In progress" verification badge – see at a glance that your TFN verification is actively running.
