Back in Stock by Appikon is a 3rd party app that offers all the necessary tools to let shoppers subscribe to upcoming products & out of stock products via email, SMS, Facebook Messenger & web push.

Setup Process

Firstly, create an API key. To do this click on your brand name in the top right corner -> Store settings:

Click on the 'API keys' section:

Then click the 'Create API Key' button:

Enter the name of your API key, keep default settings and click 'Save':

Copy the API key you've created and go to your Appikon Back in Stock app -> Integrations -> Premium Integrations -> select Omnisend:

In the window that will pop up paste the API key into the corresponding field and click 'Save':

That's it! All the new contacts that will provide their email or phone number to receive Back in Stock notification will be synced to Omnisend.

What data is passed

Once the integration is enabled, all the emails and phone numbers collected by your Appikon Back in Stock account will be synced to Omnisend with subscribed status.

Properties synced to Omnisend:

  • email address (subscribed to Email channel);

  • phone number (subscribed to SMS channel);

  • tag 'source: back in stock by appikon'.

Contacts collected before the integration has been enabled won't be synced to Omnisend.

If you want to add those contacts to your Omnisend audience, you can export them from Appikon:

Then, the export file that you'll get delivered to your email inbox should be imported to Omnisend. If you haven't made manual imports previously, use this guide: Importing Contacts from File or Other Services. On the 'Map' step map phone and email address to corresponding properties in Omnisend:
