Releasit is a 3rd party app that provides tools to set up an easy-to-use order form for Cash on Delivery, so that your customers can order with COD without the complicated steps of Shopify checkout.
Setup Process
Step 1. In Omnisend, go to → Apps → Search for "Releasit COD Form & Upsells" → Click Connect Now → Copy an API Key.
Step 2. Go to your Releasit account → Sales Booster → Abandoned Cart → Enable abandoned orders → Select Omnisend and paste the API Key you copied in the 1st step. Afterward, make sure to save the changes.
Step 3. In Omnisend, check the box that all the steps are done and click Confirm.
That's it! The integration is enabled, and new abandoned carts collected by Releasit will be synced to Omnisend.
What Data is Passed
Once the integration is enabled, a custom event Releasit abandoned will be triggered when an abandoned cart is collected by Releasit.
Note: Abandoned orders are only created if the customer entered a valid email or phone number within 15 minutes of abandonment.
Use this event to set up a workflow and send Abandoned Cart emails that will redirect to the Releasit Cash-on-Delivery form. Add a few more settings to your workflow:
Add the Placed Order exit condition as well, in case the customer completes the order before the email is sent.
Set a delay to remind customers about COD forms and abandoned orders.
Also, make sure to add the URL provided by Releasit to redirect customers to the Cash-on-Delivery form they've abandoned. To do this, add a button to the email content and insert [[event.recovery_url]] personalization tag.
FAQ
Is it possible to send SMS/Push Notifications to remind customers about the COD form they've abandoned?
Releasit only passes the email address to Omnisend. This means SMS or push notification messages can only be sent if the same customer who abandons the COD form already exists in the Omnisend Audience with email, SMS, or push notification contact details before the COD form abandonment.
