Our Omnisend Product Reviews solution provides multiple ways to enhance your customer feedback loop.

With this solution, you can automate requests for post-purchase product reviews and follow-up emails, showcase positive product reviews in your Shopify store, and enhance your SEO rankings to attract more traffic to your website.

In this article, we will discuss our pre-built automation workflows that are specifically designed to work with the Omnisend Product Reviews solution.

Before You Begin

  • You can read more about Omnisend Product Reviews in our dedicated guide.

  • These new pre-built workflows are available only for Shopify customers and work in conjunction with the Omnisend Product Reviews app.

  • All pre-built workflows compatible with Omnisend Reviews have been tagged with the label "Omnisend Reviews."

  • We've created four pre-built automations for you: Review Request, Review Request (with discount), Review Follow-up, and Review Follow-up (with discount).

Review Request

This pre-built workflow enables you to automatically gather product reviews from customers who have recently made a purchase.

This automation is triggered when an order is fulfilled and has two exit conditions: Order Refunded or Product Review Submitted. This means that any contacts who meet either of those conditions will be removed from the workflow immediately and won't receive the email.

All of the settings can be customized, but for the workflow to run smoothly, keeping the same trigger and exit conditions is recommended.

After the trigger block, there is a default delay of 2 weeks before sending the Review Request email to your customers and 7 days before sending a reminder email.

The first delay of 2 weeks is recommended to ensure that your customers have received the product and had enough time to test it before asking them to leave a review. If you click on the delay block, you can adjust the timing to suit your store and product types.

To edit your emails, simply click on the email block. This will allow you to edit the subject line, preheader, sender name, sender email address, and other email settings. You can also edit the content of the email by clicking 'Edit content.'

The email templates will adapt your Brand Assets, show the products your customers ordered, and recommend some of your store's best sellers. However, feel free to adjust the content and add additional blocks or remove the content you don't want to show.

Keep the Dynamic block with Products unedited, as it will contain the ordered product details and links to leave a review for your products.

After editing your emails, click 'Finish Editing' and then 'Start Workflow' in the workflow settings.

Review Request (with discount)

This pre-built workflow is designed to help you request reviews from your customers more effectively.

If a customer doesn't submit a review after the first request (which looks the same as the one we described in the previous section), a reminder email will be sent after seven days. The reminder email will mention that your customers will receive a 15% discount on their next purchase if they leave a review.

It's important to note that this workflow doesn't include the actual discount; it simply mentions it. The real discount will be sent to the customer in the Review Follow-up email (which you'll need to set up separately โ€“ keep reading to learn how). This ensures that only customers who leave a review will receive the discount code.

Finally, the email is followed up with an SMS asking the customer to leave a review.

Like the previous preset with only one email, this automation is triggered when an order is fulfilled and has two exit conditions: Order Refunded or Product Review Submitted. This means that any contacts who meet either of those conditions will be removed from the workflow immediately and won't receive any further content from this workflow.

Feel free to adjust the discount mentioned to the amount that is suitable for your business. Remember to change it in the subject line of the email, the content of the email, and the follow-up SMS text.

After editing your email, click 'Finish Editing' and then 'Start Workflow' in the workflow settings.

Review Follow-Up

Review Follow-up workflow provides an opportunity to thank the customer for a positive review, or if the rating is neutral or negative, to dig deeper and get the customer's feedback about how to improve in the future. It contains two pre-built emails that thank satisfied customers or assist low-star reviewers.

This automation is triggered by the Submitted Product Review event, and the exit condition is set to refunded orders, meaning customers who got their orders refunded will immediately exit the workflow.

After a customer submits a review for a product they purchased, there is a delay of one minute, but you can adjust this timing to suit your needs better.

Following this delay, a conditional split is used to send two different emails based on the rating the customer gave. If the review is more than three stars, the customer will receive a thank-you email on the YES path. If the review is three stars or less, the customer will receive a thank-you email offering assistance if they face any issues with the product.

To adjust the content of both emails, select the email block under each path and click 'Edit content.'

No discounts are included in either of these emails.

After editing your emails, click 'Finish Editing' and then 'Start Workflow' in the workflow settings.

Review Follow-Up (with discount)

Review Follow-up (with discount) workflow provides an opportunity to thank the customer for a positive review, offer more assistance with negative reviews, and offer the incentive that was promised in the Review Request (with discount) email.

Like with the previous preset, this workflow allows us to thank satisfied customers or offer assistance to low-star reviewers, the only difference is that the emails will contain a 15% discount coupon in them and will be followed up by an SMS message.

Feel free to adjust the discount provided to the amount you offered in the Review Request email. Remember to change the discount to match the content of the emails (text and discount block) and the text of the follow-up messages.

After editing your emails and SMS, click 'Start Workflow' in the workflow settings.
