Whether you’re crafting emails, segmenting audiences, or personalizing content, Omnisend’s built-in AI is here to help you work faster, smarter, and more strategically. This guide covers everything you need to know, from generating high-converting subject lines to creating dynamic product recommendations, so you can save time on busywork and focus on growing your business.
Brand Assets AI
What it does: Applies your brand logo, fonts, and color palette automatically to email templates.
Why it matters: Brand consistency improves recognition and customer trust. Automating this step avoids styling errors and saves time across teams.
How to use it:
Navigate to Store Settings → Brand Assets.
Click Manage Brand Assets.
Click Import my Brand Assets for AI to automatically upload your store assets. Templates now default to your branding.
Subject Line & Preheader Generator
What it does: Creates optimized subject lines and preheaders tailored to your campaign goals.
Why it matters: Subject lines are your campaign's front door. Strong ones increase open rates and protect your sender reputation. Using AI helps you quickly generate compelling lines while enabling easier A/B testing.
How to use it:
In the Email Settings, click on the AI icon next to the subject or preheader.
Add campaign context (e.g., "last chance," "new arrivals").
Review suggestions and select or tweak.
📌 Tip: The preheader AI generator functions just like the subject line generator, with a nice bonus: if you’ve already filled in the subject line, it will automatically suggest preheaders without requiring any extra input from your side.
AI Writer
What it does: Recommends improvements to email content, including grammar, tone, and brand voice.
Why it matters: Inconsistent tone-of-voice, clunky language, or awkward phrasing can erode trust, even in high-performing campaigns. AI Writer ensures every message aligns with your brand and reads smoothly, which boosts clarity, confidence, and conversion.
How to use it:
In the Email Builder, click into a text block.
Check the AI Writer Improvement Suggestions in the right panel to review inline improvements.
Apply, reject, or regenerate suggestions.
Direct Copywriting
What it does: It generates texts in your brand voice based on prompts and past campaign content.
Why it matters: Writing from scratch slows teams down. Direct copywriting bridges the gaps between performance and creativity, especially helpful during seasonal surges or while onboarding new team members.
How to use it:
Click "Use AI" when adding a text block to your email content.
Describe your campaign's goal with a prompt (e.g., “VIP early access to summer sale”).
Prompt a tone (e.g., friendly, professional) and language use.
Customize and review the AI draft.
Dynamic Personalized Product Recommender
What it does: Dynamically inserts personalized product blocks into campaigns and automations.
Why it matters: Product recommendations increase click-through and conversion by matching offers to customer intent. Personalization drives relevance, and relevance drives revenue. Remember, customers don’t want generic. This tool helps you speak to multiple audiences in one campaign, reducing send fatigue and improving engagement.
How to use it:
Drag&drop a Product Recommender Item to your email.
Choose the logic: recently viewed, similar to past purchase, etc.
AI will populate product content per recipient.
📌 Tip: Ideal for both campaigns and automations.
Campaign Booster
What it does: Automatically resends your campaign, with a fresh subject line or SMS, to subscribers who didn’t engage the first time.
Why it matters: Not every subscriber opens your emails on the first try. Campaign Booster gives you a second chance to connect, increase open rates, and recover missed revenue, without spamming those who have already engaged.
How it works:
Sends only to contacts who didn’t open or click your first campaign
Can be scheduled during the Review step of campaign setup
Uses different subject lines or SMS content to increase visibility
Sent 48 hours after the original send by default
How to enable it:
During the Review step, toggle on Campaign Booster.
Choose the channel: Email or SMS.
For email boosters, the content copies over automatically, but you can click Edit Content to adjust it.
For SMS boosters, you’ll need to create the message from scratch and ensure recipients are subscribed to the SMS channel.
Set your booster sending rules: resend to non-openers or non-clickers.
Enter a new subject line (important!).
📌 Tips for success:
Use a completely different subject line to avoid fatigue or filtering.
Highlight urgency (“Last chance”) or use a different angle (“You might’ve missed this”).
If you forget to turn on the booster, you’ll have 46 hours post-send to do it manually via the “Boost Campaign” button.
AI Segment Builder
What it does: Builds customer segments from simple, plain-language prompts using AI and guides you through refinement if needed.
Why it matters: Audience targeting is where email success begins. But manually building segments can be time-consuming. Omnisend AI Segment Builder translates your intent (like “VIPs who haven’t purchased this month”) into precise, usable rules, helping you reach the right people faster.
How it works:
Go to Audience → Create Segment.
Type your audience description (e.g., “customers who made at least two purchases but didn’t open the last campaign”) → click Generate Segment.
Omnisend’s AI will:
Interpret your intent
Build segment rules automatically
Show you a preview of matching contacts
Ask clarifying follow-up questions if your request is ambiguous
What makes it smarter:
Conversational interface: The built-in chatbot guides you, step by step, to refine your segment.
Auto-suggestions: The AI offers suggestions and edits as you go, saving you time and trial-and-error.
Dynamic logic: After AI does the heavy lifting, you can still edit the final rules manually.
📌 Best practices:
Start with clear, goal-based prompts: who, what behavior, and timeframe.
After previewing the results, tweak filters to fine-tune accuracy.
Combine AI-built segments with automations (e.g., reactivation flows, post-purchase offers).
Use cases:
“New subscribers from the past 7 days”
“Inactive contacts who haven’t clicked any email in 3 months”
“High spenders who opened our spring sale campaign”
“People who purchased twice but didn’t buy this product”
📌 Pro tip: This tool is especially powerful when you’re trying to build campaigns quickly without sacrificing precision, like during a seasonal promotion or flash sale.
Customer Breakdown (RFM Analysis)
What it does: Groups contacts by Recency, Frequency, and Monetary value.
Why it matters: RFM is the gold standard for lifecycle segmentation. It helps you prioritize high-potential groups like VIPs and re-engagement candidates.
How to use it:
Go to Audience → Customer Breakdown
Explore prebuilt segments (e.g., Champions, about to lose). Hover over the segment → click View contacts → click Save segment.
Target them in campaigns or workflows.
📌 Tip: Hover over the segment that you are interested in and click Retention tactics to see suggestions on how to target them.
Customer breakdown also flags customers likely to disengage or unsubscribe.
Why it matters: Retaining an existing customer is more cost-effective than acquiring a new one. Churn Prediction lets you intervene at just the right moment.
How to use it: Target them with win-back offers or feedback surveys.
Just like with at-risk customers, customer breakdown instantly finds your top spenders.
Why it matters: VIPs are your revenue drivers. They deserve tailored incentives, exclusive content, and early access. AI helps you find and nurture them fast.
Omnisend’s AI features help you move faster, reach smarter, and market better, whether you’re writing your next campaign or segmenting for growth. Explore each tool, experiment often, and let AI handle the busywork so you can focus on results.
