Before You Begin

How It Works

In essence, the Call Forwarding feature simplifies the process for your customers to call you. They only need to dial the number from the SMS they received from you through Omnisend, and we ensure that the call is directed to your business phone.

This streamlines communication and makes it easy for your customers to reach you. See the detailed process below.

  1. Enabling the Feature. When you decide to offer your customers the option to call you, you activate the Call Forwarding feature. You will find detailed instructions on how to do that below.

  2. Providing Your Number. As part of this process, you share a specific business number with us, the one you want to be reached at.

  3. Sending SMS. You send SMS messages to your customers, and these messages are sent from a unique number that you receive from us (found in your Store Settings).

  4. Your Customer Decides to Call You. If your customer wishes to call you in response to the SMS, they can simply dial the number from which they received the message.

  5. Automatic Redirection. When your customer dials this number, we take care of automatically redirecting the call to the business phone number you provided to us.

  6. Connection Established. Once the call is redirected, you and your customer are connected, allowing you to have a conversation directly.

Enabling Call Forwarding

Step 1. Navigate to Store Settings. Once logged in, locate and click on "Store Settings" in the navigation menu.

Step 2. Access SMS Settings. Within the "Store Settings," select "SMS" from the menu on the left side of the screen.

Step 3. Click Provide Your Phone Number. Here, you will enter the phone number you want your subscribers to call you back.

Step 4. Enter Your Business Number. After entering the phone number, click the "Save Phone Number" button to confirm your choice.

Step 5. Enable Call Forwarding Option. Move the toggle switch under the Call Forwarding Option to the enable position.

By following these easy steps, you can enable the Call Forwarding feature, allowing your contacts to call you directly from SMS messages in accordance with US regulations.
