At Omnisend, our teams develop the product regularly, and new features and improvements are released weekly.

This article contains essential information about the recent releases, which will help you optimize your marketing with Omnisend even further.


Campaigns

AI Subject Line Generator Expanded

We're excited to announce that the AI Subject Line Generator now supports A/B testing for email campaigns! This means you have even more flexibility to experiment with your subject lines.

Default Text Personalization

Say goodbye to blank fields in your emails! With our new default (fallback) personalization, if certain data is missing, you can now set a default value. This ensures your messages always look complete, and you can even save these defaults for future use. It’s an easy way to maintain a professional, personalized experience for your customers every time.


Automation

Workflow Channel Settings: More Control & Compliance

Our new Workflow Channel Settings feature allows you to manage which contacts receive automated messages based on their subscription status. With these settings, you now have full control over how messages are sent in automations, ensuring that you:


✅ Respect audience preferences by ensuring customers receive messages only through their preferred channels.
✅ Stay compliant with regulations like GDPR.
✅ Protect your sender's reputation by reducing unwanted messages.
✅ Ensure critical messages (like order updates) always get delivered.

Trigger Workflow for Contacts in the Segment

Now, you can trigger a workflow for all contacts who already meet your segment filters, not just those who enter the segment after the workflow starts. This ensures that every eligible contact receives the full automation series right from the start!


1️⃣ Select a segment-based trigger

  • Choose Segment as your trigger filter.

  • Define the segment criteria (e.g., 'Segment is [Selected Segment]').

2️⃣ Enable 'Trigger workflow for contacts in the segment'

  • Simply check the box to start the workflow for all existing contacts in the segment.

  • If left unchecked, only new contacts entering the segment will trigger the workflow.

This gives you greater control over your automations and ensures no contacts are left out of important workflows. 🚀


Forms

Form Builder Improvements

We’ve made the Form Builder even more intuitive! You’ll now enjoy more alignment options, improved spacing, and standardized corner rounding. Plus, you can customize your form’s look with text styles (bold, italic, underline), padding, and border styles. It’s all about giving you the tools to create cohesive and branded forms effortlessly.

Expanded Contact Properties

You asked for it, and we delivered! Now, all default contact profile properties are available for selection when creating forms, giving you even more control over how you collect and use customer data.

Step Switching in Form Builder

With our new Switch Steps control, you can effortlessly switch the steps in your multi-step forms with just a click. 

New Width Setting for Wheel of Fortune

If you love the Wheel of Fortune, you’ll appreciate the new width controls. You now have explicit control over how your wheel looks, making it even easier to fit your design needs.


Segmentation

Improved Segmentation for Missing Country Data

If you’re missing country data, we’ve got you covered! We now display the last detected location based on IP, so you can still target your customers based on their last known city or country.

It’s a small change that will make your segmentation more effective and accurate.


Reports

Link Activity Reporting

You can now track link activity for SMS and push notification campaigns, as well as for all workflows, allowing you to monitor clicks on each link and refine your messages for better engagement

You can now monitor click data for each link within your automation workflow messages, helping you work on your automation greater engagement. Use the dropdown menu to choose any message from your workflow with multiple messages.

Ecommerce Platforms

WooCommerce Plugin Update: Filter Hooks

The latest update to the WooCommerce plugin brings Filter Hooks, allowing you to:

  • Modify contacts before sending them to Omnisend

  • Customize how cart data is sent during checkout and cart recovery

  • Gain more control over your store’s data sync with Omnisend

This gives you more flexibility and control over your store’s integration!


Usability Improvements Across the Platform

We’ve made several updates to improve usability in Omnisend:

  • SMS Pricing Transparency. When selecting recipients for SMS campaigns, you’ll now see a recipient count upfront. This will help you keep track of your costs and plan your campaigns more efficiently.

  • Quick Filter Reset in Forms List. If you’ve applied too many filters in the Forms list and are seeing “no results,” you can now quickly clear all filters with one button! It’s a simple addition that saves you time and makes managing your forms smoother.

  • Custom Sender Domain Notices. When you can’t add a custom sender domain, you’ll now see a message explaining exactly why. This makes it easier for you to resolve any issues quickly.

  • Google Postmaster Tool Fix. You’ll now see deliverability metrics in the Google Postmaster Tool. This fix helps you track the success of your email campaigns and improve your deliverability.

  • Custom API Error Notifications. We’ve expanded our Custom API error notification system to now include errors related to carts, orders, products, and product categories. This helps you catch and fix any integration issues faster, saving you time and hassle.

  • Password & 2FA Updates. Managing your security is easier than ever! Password and 2FA settings are now available to all roles via the main dropdown menu, making it simple to ensure your account is fully protected.

  • All-time filter in Automations. Good news! The "All-time" date range is now available in the Automation list and Workflow Builder. This new feature makes it super easy to analyze the performance of your automations across any time period, so you can track trends and improve your strategy.
