At Omnisend, our teams develop the product regularly, and new features and improvements are released weekly.

In this article, you will find essential information related to the recent releases that will help you optimize your marketing with Omnisend even more.


Forms

Wheel of Fortune with Multistep Forms!

We are excited to introduce the Wheel of Fortune integration with multistep forms based on feedback collected from you, our dear customers 😉. Here are some of the use cases:

  1. Wheel of Fortune + Email (Step 1); SMS (Step 2)

  2. Yes/No Question (Step 1); Wheel + Email (Step 2)

  3. Wheel Only + go to next step button (Step 1); Email (Step 2)

Key Rules

  • Single Appearance of Wheel: The Wheel can only be in one step, and the discount is revealed after both steps.

  • Contact Info Required: You must collect either an email or phone number in one of the steps.

  • Next Step Button: If using the Wheel only in Step 1, include a button to go to the next step.

Completed A/B Test Reports for Forms

We’re excited to announce a new feature for analyzing your forms! You can now access reports for completed A/B tests.

Key Updates:

  • Dedicated Tab for Completed A/B Tests: You can now view statistics for completed A/B tests on a dedicated tab in the form report, allowing for better performance analysis.

  • Select Your A/B Test: If your form has multiple completed A/B tests, you can easily choose which one to analyze from a dropdown menu. The most recent test is selected by default.

  • Limitations: Please note that, due to technical constraints, any completed A/B tests before January 7, 2025, won’t be visible in the reports. If your form has no A/B test history, the new tab won't appear.

New Frequency Settings

This month, we've also updated how frequency works in forms.

  • New Logic: If you turn off the frequency option, the form will now always appear. We encourage you to turn on the frequency setting to control how often the form appears.

  • Expanded Options: You can now choose from four frequency options: seconds, minutes, hours, and days.

This update gives you more flexibility in managing form appearances!

Multi-Step Forms Improvements

We’re excited to introduce a highly yet another requested feature that allows you to skip steps in multi-step forms while still being able to submit successfully.  You can improve user experience by allowing users the option to bypass non-required steps.

Note: A skip button can't be added if there are any required fields in that step. Enjoy a smoother experience with our forms!

Reports

Improved Sales Reports Capability

We’ve added another amazing feature to your Sales Reports page! By default, all attributed revenue and order counts are linked to the day the message was sent, helping you see the impact of your marketing. Now, you can customize this setting to assign orders to the day they were actually placed in the Sales tab under Reports.

This update provides greater flexibility, allowing you to compare your Omnisend sales data more accurately with other platforms or analyze sales figures based on when they occur. Enjoy a more tailored reporting experience!

Important Notes

  • Changing this setting will only affect the Sales Reports page.

  • Campaign and Automation reports will continue to use the message sent date for attribution and cannot be customized.

Export Campaign and Workflow Performance

You can now export Campaign and Workflow performance data right from your  Report. With this feature, you’ll be able to:

  • Export and download Campaigns and Workflow performance reports for selected channels and date ranges.

  • Access all your exported reports in one convenient location under the Export tab in Reports, allowing you to download them anytime, these exports won’t expire!

Contact Activity List Exports

Another new exporting feature will allow you to export the contact activity list from all individual campaign and workflow reports. This will allow you to easily get detailed information about your contacts for each campaign or workflow. This includes data on message recipients, delivery failures, opens, clicks, orders, spam reports, and unsubscribe actions. Each activity filter will be exported separately for easier analysis.

Email Builder

Badge Functionality Improvements

Now, when you upgrade from a free to a paid plan, Omnisend will automatically remove badges from all your previously created content. This applies to any content you copy, edit, or send through scheduled campaigns and active automations. Say goodbye to unnecessary manual work 👋🏻

Discord Icon Now Available

We’ve also added the Discord icon to our social icon selection in email templates. You can now easily integrate your Discord presence into your emails, making it simpler for your audience to connect with you on this popular platform.


Usability Improvements Across the Platform

We’ve made several updates to improve usability in Omnisend:

  • Country Selection When Adding Contacts: We've added a search field to the country selection dropdown for easier navigation among nearly 200 countries.

  • Segment Copying: Copying a segment now opens the segment builder first, allowing for edits before the copy process begins, saving you time.

  • Contact Exports: You can now export contacts by tag directly, simplifying the process without needing to create a segment.

  • Trigger Filter Selection in Automations: Trigger filter selection is quicker, as properties with only one option are now preselected automatically.

  • Push Notification URLs: Pasting URLs for push notifications will automatically add "https://" for your convenience.

  • Risk Warning: To help avoid spam risks, a warning will now alert you if the booster delay is set to less than 4 hours.

  • Automatic Delay for Campaigns: When boosting, a 4-hour delay will automatically be applied for campaigns sent less than 4 hours ago.

  • Date Range Persistence in Reports: For consistency, the date range now persists when you switch between workflow reports and activity tabs.

  • Alignment Options in Forms: New alignment options for fields enhance layout flexibility and visual consistency. Moreover, icons in the Line/Space block replace text labels for alignment and style, making it more intuitive.
