To manage and store your contacts data in the most convenient way we recommend creating segments. If you have used Omnisend services for quite some time, you may be used to creating lists, but we assure you, using segments is as easy and convenient and is designed to improve the way you manage your contacts.

How it works

You can either create an auto segment during the import, learn more in importing your contacts from file or other services article or build a new segment. We have also created a couple of short videos to demonstrate, how you can easily import your contacts to a segment by:

  1. Using a Tag
  2. Auto Create segment option.

In the Organize step of your import Add a tag to your imported contacts. Click Create a segment of imported contacts if you want us to create the segment of that particular import automatically:

Use tags to have more segment options for the contacts you are importing. You will also be able to import more contacts to the same Saved segment if you use the same tag during the next import.

Saving a segment based on tag

In the Audience tab click Add filter > Add rule Tag is "tag you just created" > click Add. You will see a list of contacts that have that particular tag. Click Save segment to have all those contacts in one segment (list)
