Integrate Poptin with Omnisend to sync the contacts you collect via Poptin signup forms into Omnisend.
Benefits
Integrate Poptin with Omnisend and pass all the contact information collected by your Poptin signup forms to Omnisend. Send welcome emails to all customers who signed up via Poptin forms using Omnisend. Use collected data to segment your customers and personalize your emails.
Setup Process
Step 1. In Omnisend, go to Apps → Search for "Poptin Popups" → Click on "Connect Now" → Copy an API Key.
Step 2. Edit your popup and access Email & Integrations → Omnisend → Paste copied API Key. The Tag part is optional but always recommended if you have several platforms integrated with your Omnisend account, as it helps you segregate your Audience.
Step 3. Once you click the Approve button, a test contact will be sent to your Omnisend account. Look for the test email titled "poptin check" in your Audience tab. If this contact is successful, it means the integration is working.
Step 4. In Omnisend, check the box that all the steps are done and confirm the changes:
And that's it! Your Poptin form is integrated with Omnisend!
Don't forget to click Publish in the top-right corner for integration changes to apply after you save the API settings.
What Data Is Passed
Integration with Poptin allows passing the following properties:
First name
Last name
Email address (subscribed status)
Phone number (subscribed status)
Any tags that you want
All other values, such as gender, country, etc., from Poptin to Omnisend are passed as custom properties. Custom values are not passed to Omnisend.
Welcome Emails for Poptin Subscribers
To send welcome emails to contacts passed from Poptin, you'll need to add a unique tag to all those contacts. You can do so in the integration settings for Omnisend in your Poptin account.
In this example, we're adding the 'source: poptin' tag, but you can use whatever one is convenient for you. Then create a segment based on the tag that you're adding.
