Monthly Highlight: Conditional Items

The most efficient way to reach your customers is by sending relevant emails. The more you know about your customers, the more effective your personalized campaigns can be. With this tool, you can tailor the content in your emails to specific individuals or groups based on certain conditions you set. Meaning less time spent creating multiple emails and showing relevant content to each recipient.

This can lead to a number of benefits: higher engagement, increased conversion, improved customer experience, and more efficient marketing.

Every section in the email builder can now have conditional rules that will determine to whom the item should be shown. This functionality will allow you to tailor the content of your emails dynamically based on the information available in your customers' profiles.

Email Builder

  • Background Behaviour. Every section in the email builder can now have a background color/image with included or excluded padding.

  • Upgraded order summary item functionality and design. Decide if you want to show each product discount and price after the discount, and change the total price and final product price color separately.

Form Builder

  • Opacity Management. Each section layout in your form now has opacity control settings. Changing opacity will allow you to make the section background transparent. You can either increase or decrease it using the toggle.

  • More button styles. Enhance your button with text decorations and make text bold, italic, and underlined, adjust the border style and make it solid or dotted; change the border width and make the button framed; play with border colors and manage paddings to adjust the size of the button.

  • The new way we treat Captured Forms. If you were using Newsletter Signup Form as a mediator between your footer form and Omnisend - starting February 4th, all signups coming from the footer in your Shopify store would sync automatically. All customers using the captured form to subscribe will receive a tag. You'll be able to find them in your audience using the tag "newsletter." You can base your segment on this tag to track these customers separately.

  • Background color to the close button of the form. It allows making sure that the close button is always visible in the form. You can find this setting under Theme settings → Colors:

  • Paddings for mobile forms have been reduced so that there is more space for content in a form.

Automations

Thank-you email functionality can now be found on the New Email Builder. Now on clicking "edit Thank You email," you will be redirected to New Email Builder, where you can customize the email to fit your needs. After that, you can easily copy HTML code and use it in the Shopify app. This feature is handy if you want to avoid sending duplicate Order Confirmation emails to your customers.
