With Omnisend's email channel, you can send contacts one-time promotional campaigns and trigger-based automated emails — all from the same platform, using the same drag-and-drop email builder.
Before You Start
Before sending your first email, complete these steps:
Connect your store. Go to Store Settings → Connected store and link your ecommerce store to Omnisend. Most automation workflows require a connected store to access order and behavior data.
Verify your sender email address. Go to Store Settings → Domains to verify your sending domain. Then go to Store Settings → Email addresses to verify your sender email. Do not use a free email provider (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Outlook) as your sender address – this blocks delivery. Use a custom domain address, for example
[email protected].
Email Types Available
Omnisend email falls into two categories:
Campaigns are one-time emails you create, schedule, and send manually. For example, a newsletter, sale announcement, or product launch.
Automation emails are sent automatically when a contact completes a specific action, such as signing up, abandoning a cart, or placing an order. You set up the workflow once; it runs on its own.
💡 With Omnisend's AI Email Optimizer, pre-built templates, and personalization, you can build and send emails in a few clicks.
