Here at Omnisend, our teams develop the product regularly, and new features and improvements are released weekly.

In this article, you will find essential information related to the recent releases that will help you optimize your marketing with Omnisend even more.

Product Reviews

Omnisend Product Reviews are finally here to help you highlight what your customers love about your products, giving potential buyers the confidence to make a purchase.

Keep in mind that this feature is currently only available for Shopify users.

This month, we've introduced more improvements to our Product Reviews feature, which are intended to enrich user engagement and trustworthiness.

Public Reviews

Previously, only users identified through an email (who received your Product Review email request) could leave a product review. Now, we're opening the floor to all of your store customers, allowing anyone who makes a purchase to share their thoughts and experiences.

To leave a review, customers can simply go to your store, click 'Leave a review,' and provide an email address. By default, public reviews will not be immediately published in the store to maintain quality and relevance. However, you can easily opt to publish your reviews by adjusting your preferences in the 'Publishing options' modal found under the reviews tab.

Verified Reviews

To further boost the credibility of the feedback in your stores, we've introduced the 'Verified' flag for product reviews. Reviews left by verified buyers will automatically carry this mark, distinguishing them as genuine feedback from customers who have indeed purchased the product. Additionally, you can manually mark reviews as verified through the Omnisend app, offering another layer of trust to potential customers. This feature is designed to increase trust and allow you to showcase authentic, valuable user feedback.

Email Builder

We're thrilled to introduce new features designed to elevate your experience with our Product Recommender tool. These updates are all about giving you more control and flexibility in how you connect with your customers through product recommendations.

Select Specific Product Categories

You can now select specific product categories when setting up product recommendations. This means you can tailor recommendations more closely to your customers' interests, making them more relevant and effective.

Exclude Specific Products

Alongside selecting categories, you also can exclude specific items from your recommendations. Whether it's out-of-stock items or products you want to avoid promoting at the moment, this feature ensures your recommendations are precisely what you want your customers to see. Importantly, this ability to exclude is available to you even if no specific category is selected, giving you flexibility in how you curate your product recommendations.

Recently Viewed and Most Viewed Products Recommendations

We are introducing new recommendation types that allow you to display products your contacts have recently viewed in automations and the most viewed products in your store in both campaigns and automations. Our Product Recommender tool aims to assist you in re-engaging with your customers by suggesting products from your store. For more information on this tool and its usage, please refer to the guide provided below.

Please note 'products contact recently viewed' recommendation type is available exclusively in Automated emails. It offers a targeted way to boost engagement and potentially increase sales.

Audience

Audience updates introduce status filters in Imports and Exports lists and detailed explanations of contact subscriptions within the Contact list. These improvements aim to improve user experience by providing clearer, more precise control over contact management processes.

Account Security

We've prioritized your account security by introducing the option to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for enhanced protection. This feature adds an extra layer of security by requiring a code from an authenticator app and your password when logging into your Omnisend account. During the 2FA setup process, you'll also have the opportunity to copy or download recovery keys, ensuring you always have access to your account even if you cannot use your primary authentication method.
