Omnisend for Big Cartel

Big Cartel enables artists, creators, and small businesses to launch their stores. By integrating your Big Cartel store with Omnisend, your customer data is automatically synchronized with Omnisend, simplifying the sending of targeted campaigns and workflows, tracking of customer actions, and segmenting of your customers.

Before You Begin

If you have been using Omnisend and already have an account with another store connected, you'll need to create a new empty store first – to register a new store under an existing account, check this step-by-step guide. Once a new store is registered, proceed with the steps below.

If you don't have an Omnisend account – create one here; if you have an Omnisend account with an empty store, proceed with the steps below.

Please note that you need to have a Platinum Big Cartel subscription to be able to integrate Omnisend.

Integrating Omnisend with Big Cartel

Step 1. You can connect Omnisend to Big Cartel either from:

  • Your Big Cartel account side by opening your Big Cartel account and locating Omnisend under Marketing & promotion in the Apps list.

  • Or your Omnisend account by clicking Connect Store Big Cartel Add Omnisend App. You'll see the option to do so right after you log in to your account in the Dashboard. You can also find this option by clicking on your Store Name at the top right-hand corner and selecting the Connect Your Store option.

Step 2. You will be redirected to the Omnisend app page; click Add to your shop to start integration processes.

Step 3. Click the Connect button to authorize the connection. You can switch your shops here if you accidentally logged into the wrong Big Cartel shop.

Step 4. Click Connect your Omnisend Account to proceed with the integration and link your existing account. If you don’t have an Omnisend account, create one here.

Step 4. A connection wizard will prompt you to see which Omnisend store is getting connected. To change the store you want to connect, click Switch store. To continue with the integration, click Authorize access.

Step 5. You'll see a confirmation page acknowledging the successful connection of your Big Cartel store to Omnisend. To explore Omnisend features, we recommend checking our Onboarding section. Happy marketing!

What Data is Passed from Big Cartel to Omnisend

  • Contacts. You can see and manage all your customers from Big Cartel in Omnisend Audience

  • Products & Product Categories. Product and product categories and their changes (additions, deletions, updates) are synced with Omnisend, ensuring all properties and categories are displayed correctly in your emails.

  • Orders. You can use order data to trigger transactional emails in Omnisend and see your contact's order activity on their contact pages

  • Carts. Your Big Cartel store abandoned carts and checkouts are passed to Omnisend so that you can send abandoned cart emails
